“Ormoc CPS3 Nabs Other Wanted Person for Violation of Section 5 of RA 9262”
LILOAN, ORMOC CITY – The Ormoc City Police Station 3 led by PCPT LOUISE MIGUEL C SEPINA, Officer-In-Charge, under the supervision of PCOL ABRAHAM D ABAYARI, Officer-In-Charge, Ormoc City Police Office, successfully arrested an individual classified as an Other Wanted Person (OWP) with a standing warrant of arrest on September 4, 2026 at Sitio Camotes, Brgy. Domonar, Ormoc City.
The accused was identified by the alias "Sanny", male, 66 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Sitio Camotes, Brgy. Domonar, Ormoc City.
According to reports, Ormoc City Police Station 3 personnel arrested the aforementioned accused for Violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (5(C) of RA 9262), Violation of Section 5 (I) of RA 9262 in Relation to Section 5 (C) under CC No. R-ORM-26-0555-CR, R-ORM-26-0556-CR dated September 2, 2026 duly issued by HON. GERLIE BORREL YU, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 35, Ormoc City, Leyte with a recommended bail bond fixed at One Thousand Pesos (Php 1,000.00) for Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act 2004 (5(C) of RA 9262) and Ten Thousand Pesos (Php 10,000.00) for Violation of Sec. 5(I) of RA 9262 in Relation to Section 5(C).
Upon apprehension, the suspect was duly informed of the reason for his arrest and his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood. Subsequently, the said suspect was taken to OCPS3 for documentation and proper processing before being transferred to the court of origin.
