The Sangguniang Bayan Members and Ex Officio Members, together with Municipal Vice Mayor Elmer M. Pondara, attended and participated in the Training on “Leveraging Local Sanggunian’s Quasi-Judicial Functions” held on August 24–26, 2026, at De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The three-day training was conducted to enhance the participants’ knowledge and understanding of the quasi-judicial functions of the Local Sanggunian, particularly in the proper handling and disposition of administrative cases, conduct of quasi-judicial proceedings, observance of due process, and application of pertinent laws, rules, and procedures. The activity further aimed to strengthen the capacity of local legislative officials in the effective, fair, and lawful exercise of their mandated functions.

Regular Session | August 10, 2026

The Sangguniang Bayan of Don Victoriano convened its regular session on Monday, August 10, 2026, as part of its continuing commitment to responsible, transparent, and responsive local legislation. 🏛️

The session was also graced by representatives from Tagum Cooperative, who visited the legislative body to introduce their cooperative’s services and share opportunities that may benefit the local government and the community.

The Sangguniang Bayan Members and Ex Officio Members, together with Municipal Vice Mayor Elmer M. Pondara, actively participated in the 2nd Quarterly Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Continuing Local Legislative Education Program held on July 29–31, 2026, in Iloilo City.

The three-day learning program brought together local legislators from across the country to strengthen their knowledge and competencies in local governance, legislative procedures, policy formulation, and the enactment of responsive ordinances. 🧑‍⚖️

Through insightful lectures, discussions, and the exchange of best practices, the participants further enhanced their capacity to deliver effective legislation and responsive public service for the people of the Municipality of Don Victoriano. 🤝
