The Municipal Health Office proudly joins the nation in the Kick-Off Celebration of Nutrition Month 2026 with the theme:
This year's celebration reminds us that good nutrition and a healthy environment go hand in hand. Climate change affects not only our surroundings but also our food systems, agricultural productivity, water supply, and food security. Extreme weather events, prolonged droughts, floods, and rising temperatures can reduce the availability of nutritious foods, increase food prices, and heighten the risk of malnutrition, especially among pregnant women, infants, young children, and other vulnerable populations.
Protecting our environment is therefore an investment in better nutrition and healthier communities. By promoting sustainable food production, reducing food waste, conserving natural resources, and adopting climate-resilient practices, we help ensure that every family has access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food today and for future generations.
As we officially begin Nutrition Month, let us strengthen our commitment to healthy eating, environmental stewardship, and community action. Together, we can build a healthier, more resilient Oslob where both people and nature thrive.
Together, let us nurture our health, protect our environment, and secure a brighter future for every Filipino.
