In the 1960s, Oslob fishermen saw the “tuki” as pests — giant creatures believed to drive fish away. Unaware they were endangered, they were driven off from our shores.

In 2012, a chance encounter changed everything.

What was once feared became protected.
What was once driven away became our partner in livelihood.

What was once a quiet fishing town became one of Cebu’s most visited destinations — built on preservation, discipline, and community unity.

Through movement, music, and storytelling, we bring to life our journey of transformation — from misunderstanding to stewardship.

This is our dance of change.
This is Oslob’s story.

Please be advised that the relief goods for Northern Cebu are scheduled to depart this Sunday, October 5, 12MN.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 4th, is the final day to drop off donations. Should you wish to donate relief goods, please do so tomorrow before 5PM.

𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 📣

In light of the latest 6.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu earlier tonight, with close coordination with our Oslob District Schools Supervisor Dr. Marivic Montejo, we have decided to suspend all face-to-face elementary and secondary classes in all public schools TOMORROW, OCTOBER 1, 2025 to allow our Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Office (MDRRMO) Staff and Engineers to inspect our buildings. Classes will resume once we can ascertain the structural integrity of our buildings.

Private schools shall be given the discretion for class suspensions, depending on their respective administrations.

Punong Barangays are asked also to please check your respective barangay halls for whatever damages. Please coordinate with our MDRRMO or Municipal Engineering Office should there be damages brought about by the earthquake.
