BASKETBALL | Miagao claims championship after commanding win over Guimbal

Miagao secured the championship crown in the elementary boys' level by holding a steady lead since the first quarter and closing out Guimbal with a composed 50–39 triumph on November 29.

Guimbal battled with unyielding intensity across all four quarters but ultimately settled for a hard-earned second place finish after struggling to overcome Miagao’s early momentum.

Oton completed the final podium lineup as the tournament’s third place team, proving their consistency and resilience throughout the entire competition.

The championship match delivered a high-energy atmosphere as both squads traded defensive stops, fast-break attempts, and aggressive drives that kept the crowd fully engaged.

Miagao controlled the tempo with disciplined ball movement and sharp ex*****on, knocking down crucial baskets and applying pressure that forced Guimbal to play catch-up from the opening tip.

The final buzzer sealed Miagao’s triumphant rise as undisputed champions, capping an intense and memorable conclusion to the elementary boys' basketball tournament.

SOFTBALL ｜Oton storms to victory, outplays San Joaquin in the Championship Battle

Oton takes home the gold medal in the 2025 First Congressional District Sports Association (FCDSA) Softball Match -Secondary Level, defeating San Joaquin with a final score 12-2 in the finals held at Guimbal NHS Football Field on November 29,2025.

The coach of Oton shared her thoughts on how the team secured their victory and how they managed their errors during the match.

“After they commit errors, I make sure nga dapat calm sila and they should move on from that error,” expressed Stephanie N. Sañonte, Oton’s Softball Coach.

Each player showcased their talent, which became a key factor in their win—not only because of their playing skills, but also because of their trust in each other and their willingness to play with strength and heart.

"Thank you kay God kag sa mga supporter's namon nga ari gd di para sa amon," said by Precious Bañes a player from Oton's Softball Team.

The team’s performance was notable, with players demonstrating their skills and working together effectively. Their gameplay was marked by strategic moves and strong teamwork, making them a formidable force throughout the match.

Despite falling short, the opposing team showed remarkable resilience and determination. Their fighting spirit and sportsmanship were evident from start to finish, earning them respect from both their opponents and spectators. Their perseverance and teamwork will undoubtedly serve them well in the future competitions.

Softball Championship Showdown: Tigbauan emerges victorious against Oton, 9-0

The final showdown for the softball championship between the Elementary Level teams was intense, with both teams displaying determination and drive to claim victory, Tigbauan outscored Oton with a final score of 9-0 runs in their hard-fought battle held at Guimbal NHS Field on November 29, 2025.

Tigbauan's success can be attributed to their great team coordination and mindset, which was evident throughout the game. The team was cheered on by their coaches and family members, who were present to support them. The battle was fierce, with both teams showing remarkable strength.

"The skills we're improving are the team's patience and teamwork. We also made sure that our players remember they are free to enjoy the game and that it is not a competition," said Ma'am Tirando, the coach of Tigbauan.

"What's driving our team to win is nga maka asta kami palaro" added Valereign, a teammate of Tigbauan.

Although Oton lost to Tigbauan, their performance and drive were impressive, and they proved to be strong opponents. After their 3rd and final match against Tigbauan, they congratulated and thanked their opponents and the technical officials, showing that they accepted their defeat with no hard feelings.

"For the next game, we will focus on improving the team's discipline and training time," stated Ma'am Vic, the coach of Oton.

In the end, both teams showcased their passion and courage in playing softball. As the champion, the Municipality of Tigbauan won the gold medal and will proceed to the Integrated Sports Meet.

Dance Sports Competition Opens with Color and Energy

The Tigbauan Sports Arena bursts with color and excitement as dancers from various municipalities gather for the Dance Sports competition on November 29.

The event opens with a vibrant parade, with athletes proudly representing their respective towns, this is followed by the oath-taking of athletes and coaches, reaffirming their commitment to fairness and integrity throughout the competition.

“Today's competition reflects our shared commitment to discipline, excellence, and the promotion of arts and sports in our community,” emphasizes Honorable Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Nora Rose Tubiano in her opening remarks.

The program also includes the presentation of certificates of participation to each municipality, recognizing their dedication to this year’s competition.

“To all the incredible dance sports athletes, your passion and dedication have brought you to this exciting moment. You are not here simply to compete but to inspire others with your strength and perseverance,” says Dr. Jeannebeth T. Gasis.

The Dance Sports competition continues to showcase talent, discipline, and community spirit.

VOLLEYBALL | Tigbauan completes 3-peat, sweeps Guimbal to claim Secondary Girls volleyball crown, 25–10, 25–17, 25–15

Tigbauan showcased a commanding performance in the championship round, sweeping Guimbal in straight sets to claim the title. From the opening whistle, Tigbauan displayed superior control, strong court coverage, and powerful offensive plays that set the tone for the match.

The first set saw Tigbauan quickly take charge, building an early lead and maintaining momentum through consistent serves and well-executed attacks. In the second set, they continued to overwhelme Guimbal, shutting down scoring attempts with solid blocking and well-timed digs. By the third set, Tigbauan sustained their dominance, closing out the match with confidence and securing a decisive victory.

They will now move on to represent the first district in the upcoming Provincial Meet.

LAWN TENNIS | Tigbauan, nangingibabaw sa Lawn Tennis Championship – Secondary Level

Muling pinatunayan ng Tigbauan ang kanilang husay sa larangan ng Lawn Tennis matapos tanghalin na kampeon sa iba’t ibang kategorya sa FCDSA Lawn Tennis Championship – Secondary Level. Sa mga laban na ginanap sa Upehco Brgy. Bagumbayan, Nobyembre 28 2025, kumolekta ng tropeo at medalya ang mga manlalaro mula sa Tigbauan matapos talunin ang mga katunggaling manlalaro ng Guimbal at Oton.

Sa Boys Singles, nagwagi si Insoy ng Tigbauan matapos ang dikit na 8–7 na panalo kontra kay Gomez ng Guimbal. Sa Girls Singles, umangat si Jutay na nagwagi ng 8–5 upang makuha ang titulo laban kay Gomez ng Guimbal.

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang Tigbauan sa doubles category. Sa Boys Doubles, ipinamalas nina Caldo, Jr. at Emolaga ang kanilang kahusayan matapos ang 8–2 na pagtatapos laban sa Guimbal. Sa Girls Doubles, nanaig naman sina Canto at Decipulo, nagtala ng 8–5 para sa panalo.

Samantala, sa Mixed Doubles Semifinals, nanguna ang duo ng Guimbal na sina Rich Salvador Gomez at Dionne Rose Gomez, nagtala ng 6–0 laban sa Oton. Subalit sa Finals ay muling bumida ang Tigbauan nang pangunahan nina Caldo, Jr. at Decipulo ang laro, nagtapos sa dikit na 8–7 upang makuha ang kampeonato.

Anim na korona ang nasungkit ng Tigbauan sa larangan ng Lawn Tennis Secondary Level – patunay ng kanilang husay, lakas sa paghampas, disiplina sa sarili, walang tigil na pag-eensayo , dedikasyon, at pananampalataya.
