Base sa pinakaduol nga air quality monitoring station sa Iligan City, ang na-record nga Air Quality Index (AQI) kay 239 o “Very Unhealthy.”

As of 8:00 AM today, 04 September 2026, the LPA 08k (formerly “SAUDEL”/“OBET”) OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has dissipated.

Meanwhile, the Tropical Depression (formerly LPA 09a) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR.

PUBLIC ADVISORY | Haze Alert in Northern Mindanao

Haze is currently being monitored in parts of Northern Mindanao, linked to transboundary smoke from forest and land fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia, carried by the habagat.

For your safety: Limit time outdoors when haze levels are high. If you need to go outside, wear a well-fitting mask, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities. Children, older adults, and those with respiratory conditions should take extra care.
