In celebration of the 2026 National MSME Week, DTI Misamis Occidental successfully conducted the Provincial MSME Summit 2026 on July 09, 2026 at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center, Oroquieta City.

Guided by the theme "Strengthening Local Government and Private Sector Cooperation towards Empowering MSMEs," the summit brought together entrepreneurs, national and local government agencies, and key stakeholders to foster business resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth—aligning with the province's vision of a Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon, ug Malipayon (5Ms).

🎉 Celebrating the success of our Kapatid Mentor ME - Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) 2026 Graduates! 🎉

The Department of Trade and Industry - Misamis Occidental Provincial Office successfully conducted a Learning Session on Best Management Practices from Starting-up to Scaling-up cm Graduation and Recognition Ceremony of the KMME-MME Hinirang Class of 2026, on the 15th day of July 2026 at Caputol Heights, Aloran, Misamis Occidental.

The event was highlighted by an inspiring learning session from Mr. Ernesto C. Tan, a distinguished real estate magnate and proud Misamisnon, who generously shared his decades of business experience, valuable management insights, and entrepreneurial wisdom. His engaging presentation, complemented by his wit, humility, and passion for empowering entrepreneurs, left a lasting impression on the graduates.

The Recognition Ceremony celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and remarkable achievements of the 18 graduates of the Hinirang Class of 2026. A significant milestone of this batch was that all 18 mentees earned an "Excellent" rating in their respective Business Improvement Plan (BIP) Presentations, reflecting the quality of their business concepts and the impact of the KMME-MME Program.

Adding to this outstanding achievement, the Hinirang Class produced the Regional Top 1 Awardee, Ms. Lanie M. Besana of Lola's World Botanical Garden, the Regional Top 3 Awardee, Ms. Sagrada Alvarez of Siakean's Integrated Farm, and Mr. Nathaniel Culamis of Coco's Pasalubong Center, further showcasing the entrepreneurial excellence of Misamis Occidental.
