As we celebrate every Juana and salute their extraordinary roles in the society as trailblazers and harbingers of change, the Department of Interior and Local Government will be celebrating the 2022 National Women’s Month Culmination this March 31, 2022 anchored to the theme “WE MAKE CHANGE WORK FOR WOMEN,” graced by a message coming from our Guest Speaker Ms. Cindy Obeñita, Miss International 2021.

This year’s NWMC endeavors to highlight the achievements accomplished by women and girls, assess actions towards gender equality and look forward to things that we can do to improve and enhance the quality of services offered and empower every women.

Omicron has been detected in some LGUs in the country and rapidly increasing the proportion of COVID-19 cases.

The LAYAG Discussion Series will be airing for its 12th episode and will feature “On-guard against OMICRON variant” this 27 January 2022 at 9AM.

During the discussion, DOH will emphasize the roles of our Local Government Units in the preparation for the new variant Omicron.

We need to open up more talks and prepare for the full devolution of functions to the LGUs. There will be many challenges, and we need to bring into light issues so they can be addressed.
