OPERATIONAL na ang bag-ong gi-inagurahan nga laboratoryo sa Banana Tissue Culture nga gidumala sa Pagadian City Agriculture nga nahimutang sa Barangay Macasing, Pagadian City ning nakalabayng semana.

Matud ni Jessa A. Banglos Supervisor sa Banana Tissue Culture Laboratory, dugay nang gidamgo sa City Government ang pagbukas sa maong laboratoryo sa tumong nga mapadaghan ang mga saha sa saging nga lakatan isip planting materials aron iapud-apod sa mga mag-uuma.

Segun ni Banglos, limitado pa sa pagkakaron ang ilang mga seedlings, mao nga una pa lang kining gipang-apod-apod ngadto sa mga interesadong empleyado sa City Government nga gustong mosulay og tanom.

Gilauman usab nga sa mosunod nga tuig, modaghan na ang ilang produksyon sa seedlings aron mas daghang mag-uuma ug mga interesado nga motanom ang makapahimulos niini.

Niya pa, usa usab kini sa mga lakang aron mapalig-on ang banana industry sa Pagadian City, nga nakita usab ni Mayor Sammy Co nga adunay potensyal nga molambo sama sa banana production sa Davao.

Pinaagi sa Banana Tissue Culture Laboratory, gilauman sa City Agriculture's Office nga mas mapadaghan ang de-kalidad nga banana planting materials ug mas mapalapad pa ang pagtanom sa saging sa syudad sa Pagadian.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region IX – Provincial Fisheries Office (PFO) , headed by Sir Raffy Adeltone N. Tan, conducted the TURN-OVER OF POST-HARVEST EQUIPMENT AND UTENSILS LIVELIHOOD PACKAGE to the Pagadian City Marginal Fisherfolk Association on September 25, 2026, at the Community Fish Landing Center, San Pedro, Pagadian City, where they received the following equipment:

🔹 1 unit Stainless Platform Weighing Scale
🔹 2 sets Post-Harvest Equipment and Utensils
🔹 1 unit Chest Freezer, 10 cu. ft. with AVR
🔹 2 units Chilling Tank
🔹 2 units Stainless Sorting Table

This initiative aims to support our marginal fisherfolk by providing essential equipment and livelihood assistance that can help improve their post-harvest activities, productivity, and source of income.

Through continued partnership and support, BFAR Region IX and the City of Pagadian remain committed to empowering our fisherfolk communities and promoting sustainable fisheries and improved livelihoods. 🐟💙

Gidasig sa City Agriculture Office dinhi sa syudad sa Pagadian ang mga kabatan-onan nga mosulod ug mag-apil sa modernong pagpanguma, tumong niini nga mapalambo ang ilang interes ug kahanas sa pagpananom gamit ang mga bag-ong kagamitan pang agrikultura.

Sumala sa City Agriculture Office, padayon ang mga programa sa gobyerno alang sa mga kabatan-onan nga interesado sa pagpanguma ug agrikultura, nga gilaumang pinaagi niini, mas daghang kabatan-onan ang maengganyo nga mosulod sa sektor sa agrikultura.

Sa interview sa Juander Radyo Pagadian ngadto kang Miss Jessa Banglos, Supervisor sa Banana Tissue Culture Laboratory sa City Agriculture Office, iyang gipadayag nga ilang gitukod ang usa ka organisasyon alang sa mga kabatan-onan nga gitawag og 4-H Club, tumong niini nga matutukan ug maengganyo ang mga kabatan-onan sa pag-apil sa agrikultura.

Pinaagi sa 4-H Club, gilauman nga mas mapalambo ang kahibalo ug interes sa kabatan-onan sa pagpananom, ingon man ang ilang partisipasyon sa mga programa sa agrikultura sa gobyerno.

Gidasig usab sa City Agriculture Office ang mga kabatan-onan nga nawad-an na sa interest alang sa pagpanguma isip tradisyonal nga panginabuhian, nga diin nanghatag kini ug oportunidad alang sa kaugmaon pinaagi sa teknolohiya ug modernong pamaagi sa pagpanguma.
