𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒚 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒐 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑫𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒈

On July 15, 2026, a turnover ceremony was successfully conducted in San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur for the Laundry Enterprise project awarded to the Dumingag Solo Parent SLPA. This initiative aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to solo parents in the community, empowering them to improve their economic stability and overall well-being.

The project, amounting to ₱510,000, was officially handed over to the beneficiaries, who are all registered solo parents under the Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA). The enterprise is expected to serve as a source of income for the members while also addressing the local demand for laundry services in the area.

This undertaking was made possible through the strong partnership between the implementing agency and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dumingag, with full support from the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Gerry T. Paglinawan. His leadership and commitment to inclusive development have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.

The collaboration highlights the LGU’s dedication to empowering vulnerable sectors, particularly solo parents, by providing them with opportunities for livelihood and self-sufficiency. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and commitment to manage the enterprise responsibly to ensure its sustainability and long-term success.

The turnover ceremony marks not only the start of a new business venture but also a significant step toward community development and social empowerment in Dumingag.

The turnover ceremony of the Upper Pulacan Convenience Store under the SLPA was successfully held on July 8, 2026, at Barangay Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. The event marked the official start of the enterprise, symbolizing a step forward in strengthening local livelihood and community development.

The ceremony was attended by community members, local officials, and partner stakeholders who expressed their support and optimism for the store’s sustainability. The project aims to provide accessible goods to residents while generating income opportunities for the association.

𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒐 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝑳𝑷𝑨 proudly celebrated its 2𝓃𝒹 𝒴ℯ𝒶𝓇 𝒜𝓃𝓃𝒾𝓋ℯ𝓇𝓈𝒶𝓇𝓎 alongside the blessing and opening of its new store—an important milestone that reflects the group’s growth, resilience, and commitment to sustainable livelihood.

As part of its continued development, the SLPA received an additional grant amounting to ₱200,000 under the SIBOL Phase of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). This support enabled the association to further strengthen and expand its general merchandise project, providing essential goods to the community while generating income for its members.

The SIBOL Phase focuses on enhancing and scaling up existing livelihood projects by providing financial assistance, capacity-building activities, and technical guidance. Through this intervention, Tagulo General Merchandise SLPA was able to improve its inventory, upgrade store operations, and increase its market reach.

The success of the project was made possible through the strong support and collaboration of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) and the Local Government Unit (LGU). Their assistance included continuous monitoring, technical support, and encouragement, ensuring that the SLPA remains on track toward achieving long-term sustainability and economic empowerment.

This celebration not only marks another year of success but also highlights the collective efforts of the community, partner agencies, and local government in uplifting the lives of SLPA members through inclusive and community-driven development initiatives.

SLP SIBOL STORY | Mula sa 20 pato at maliit na taniman ng gulay, napalago ni Mardelyn Quima ng Brgy. Rizal, Bansalan, Davao del Sur ang kanyang simpleng kabuhayan.

Sa tulong ng Php 15,000 Seed Capital Fund mula sa DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) noong 2024, lumago ang kanyang alagang pato sa 180, na ngayon ay nagbibigay ng tuloy-tuloy na kita para sa pangangailangan ng kanyang pamilya at sa pag-aaral ng kanyang anak.

"Sa pamamagitan ng SLP, natutunan ko kung paano pamahalaan ang maliit na negosyo, mag-budget ng kita at gastusin, at magplano upang mapalago ang aming kabuhayan.

Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa DSWD at sa SLP sa tulong na kanilang ibinigay sa amin. Umaasa ako na patuloy din nilang matutulungan ang iba pang pamilya upang sila rin ay makapagsimula at mapalago ang kanilang kabuhayan," wika ni Mardelyn.

Ngayong National Women’s Month, patunay ang kanyang kwento na kapag nabigyan ng tamang oportunidad ang kababaihan, kaya nilang gawing matagumpay ang maliit na simula.
