Empowering CSF Cooperatives for Sustainable Growth and Financial Inclusion 🌱🤝

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region IX, in proud collaboration with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), successfully spearheaded the Zamboanga Sibugay CSF Coop Strategic Planning Workshop on September 8, 2026, at the Sibugay Grand Plaza Hotel.

Bringing together 30 dedicated delegates representing 15 local cooperatives, this initiative was designed to strengthen institutional frameworks, align strategic directions, and foster long-term resilience within the cooperative sector.

The program was enriched by the expertise of our distinguished resource speakers from BSP Manila, Ms. Eleonor D. Ramos and Ms. Mariane Daiseree Mojica, who shared invaluable insights on financial inclusion and strategic governance. Their sessions provided local cooperative leaders with essential tools to navigate economic landscapes more effectively.

The successful staging of this workshop was made possible through the unwavering guidance of CDA Region IX Regional Director Ruben L. Cunanan, JD, alongside Senior CDS of CSF Section Alvazer B. Duran.

Marking a monumental milestone for economic growth and credit accessibility in the region, the Zamboanga City Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (ZCCSF Coop) officially sealed its historic CSF Trust Agreement on September 10, 2026, at the Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City.
This landmark partnership strengthens financial safety nets and opens broader economic opportunities for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives.
