The National Housing Authority Region IX and BARMM proudly joined the nationwide celebration of the 51st Anniversary of the National Housing Authority, marking the first year of the Agency's Renewed Charter, through a series of meaningful and engaging activities held on July 30, 2026.

In celebration of this milestone, NHA Region IX and BARMM conducted various activities that promoted health, wellness, teamwork, and camaraderie among its employees across its offices.

At the Regional Center, employees participated in the Yakap PhilHealth Services Orientation, an informative session designed to strengthen employees' awareness and understanding of the benefits and services available through PhilHealth. The orientation highlighted the Agency's commitment to ensuring that every employee is well-informed about their healthcare entitlements, coverage, and the proper procedures for availing PhilHealth benefits. It also emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare, financial protection against medical expenses, and the role of PhilHealth in supporting the overall health and well-being of government employees and their families. By equipping employees with this knowledge, NHA reinforces its commitment to fostering a healthier, more secure, and more productive workforce.

The Regional Center celebration also featured exciting Larong Pinoy activities that rekindled Filipino childhood games, encouraged teamwork, and strengthened camaraderie among employees. To further promote physical fitness and an active lifestyle, employees enthusiastically participated in the Step Dance Workout for Wellness, demonstrating the Agency's commitment to holistic employee wellness.

Meanwhile, at the Zamboanga District Office, an HIV 101 Orientation was conducted as part of the Agency's Health and Wellness Program. The session aimed to increase awareness about HIV prevention, reduce stigma through education, and encourage responsible health practices among employees. The celebration also included a friendly Pickleball Tournament and an energizing Zumba Session, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical well-being.

The celebration reflected the National Housing Authority's commitment not only to providing decent, safe, and sustainable housing for Filipino families but also to cultivating a healthy, resilient, and empowered workforce.
