The Western Mindanao Naval Command, through the Civil-Military Operations Unit–Western Mindanao, successfully conducted Civil-Military Operations from the Sea (CMOFTS) in Brgy. Igat Island, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur from April 13 to 15, 2026.

The activity is focused on Community Health Engagement by delivering essential medical and humanitarian services such as Cataract Surgery, Medical Consultations, Dental Services, Circumcision and Minor Surgical procedures, Haircut Services, and Gift-giving Activities of hygiene kits, wheelchairs, canes, and crutches for persons with disabilities and Appliance repair services were provided significantly to the residents of the said barangay. This initiative reinforced the government’s presence in the area while promoting the well-being and resilience of the local community.

Your Philippine Navy, together with its partner stakeholders, remains firmly committed to delivering essential services to our fellow Filipinos—especially those in far-flung and underserved communities that need them most.
