2026 ZPRAA || LRP-Desk Ensures Learner Protection in Isabela City
ISABELA CITY, BASILAN — The Learner Rights Protection Desk (LRP-Desk) has been activated across all Schools Division Offices (SDOs) during the conduct of the 2026 Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet, reinforcing the DepEd’s commitment to safeguard the welfare and rights of student-athletes. The presence of the LRP-Desk aims to provide immediate assistance, address concerns, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants throughout the duration of the regional sports event.
The LRP-Desk is composed of the division focal persons led by Ms. Leila S. Enriquez, regional focal, under the Education Support Services Division (ESSD) working collaboratively to monitor, respond, and document any issues related to learner protection. Their coordinated efforts ensure that mechanisms are in place for reporting and addressing concerns, including child protection, health and safety, and well-being of learners billeted in various quarters.
DepEd emphasized that beyond fostering excellence in sports, the ZPRAA also upholds the rights and dignity of every learner. The institutionalization of the LRP-Desk in all SDOs highlight the agency’s proactive stance in creating a secure and nurturing environment, allowing student-athletes to focus on their performance while being assured of their protection and care.

During the 2026 ZPRAA Meet in Isabela City, Basilan, the Learner Rights Protection Desk (LRP-Desk) was activated in all Schools Division Offices to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes. Led by regional focal Ms. Leila S. Enriquez under the Education Support Services Division (ESSD), the team provides immediate assistance, monitors concerns, and ensures proper reporting of issues related to child protection, health, and safety. This initiative reflects DepEd’s commitment to protecting learners while promoting excellence in sports.
