The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Palapag marked the start of the workweek with its regular weekly flag-raising ceremony at the Municipal Hall Grounds, highlighted by the official induction of a newly appointed personnel.

During the gathering attended by department heads and municipal employees, Mr. Francis Ric Bello formally took his Oath of Office, officializing his appointment to the local government unit.

The oath was administered by Municipal Mayor Florence "Fawa" Batula, who reminded the inductee of the core responsibilities that come with public service. The ceremony serves as a continuing effort by the local administration to strengthen its human resources and maintain efficient service delivery across municipal offices.

Following the ceremony, Mr. Bello officially assumed his role within the local government, joining the rest of the municipal workforce as normal office operations resumed.

Isang malaking karangalan at kagalakan para sa ating Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Palapag na tanggapin ang Kauswagan Caravan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Northern Samar!

Pinangunahan ng ating masipag na Gobernador, Gov. Harris Christopher Ongchuan, kasama ang mga opisyal ng probinsya at iba't ibang ahensya ng gobyerno, ang caravan ay naghatid ng direktang serbisyo at tulong para sa ating mga kababayan sa Palapag.

Ginanap ang aktibidad sa Capacujan Elementary School (Palapag III District), kung saan mainit na sinalubong ang delegasyon ng ating mga lokal na opisyal sa pamumuno ni Mayor Florence Fawa Batula, kasama ang mga g**o, mag-aaral, at mga residente.

Ang Kauswagan Caravan ay naglayong ilapit ang mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa mga komunidad. Kabilang sa mga serbisyong inihatid ay ang:

Medical at Dental Mission: Libreng konsultasyon at gamot.

Agricultural Support: Pamamahagi ng mga binhi at kagamitang pang-agrikultura.

Social Services: Pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan sa pamamagitan ng iba't ibang programa.

At marami pang iba!

Naging makulay at masaya ang kaganapan sa pagtatanghal ng ating mga mag-aaral at sa pakikipag-ugnayan ng ating mga opisyal sa publiko. Ang matagumpay na caravan na ito ay patunay ng maayos na pagtutulungan ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Palapag at ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan para sa ikauunlad ng ating bayan.

The Municipal Government of Palapag, Northern Samar successfully passed the 2026 Regional Local Governance Champions (RLGC) and Local Legislative Awards (LLA) Assessment conducted on August 18, 2026, at the Legislative Hall, Palapag, Northern Samar.

The assessment was conducted by the Regional Assessment Team (RAT) composed of ten (10) validators from the DILG-Northern Samar Provincial Office, led by Cluster Head Eduardo A. Diaz, RAT Team Leader, with the active participation of LGU officials, department and office heads, DepEd representatives, uniformed personnel, CSO representatives, and other stakeholders.

The successful assessment reflects the municipalityโ€™s continued commitment to good governance, effective and responsive public service, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
