The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Palapag, N. Samar, invites all interested and qualified applicants to apply for the position of Negosyo Center Business Counselor (NCBC), based on the hiring requirements shared by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙢 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:

1. A bachelor's degree graduate in Economics, Engineering, Business, or in other related courses;
2. Can be a fresh graduate or, preferably familiar with planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs;
3. Preferably with Civil Service Eligibility
4. With good oral and written communication skills;
5. Computer Literate, familiar on MS Office applications and the internet platforms;
6. Good interpersonal skills, especially in handling people's organizations with various cultural backgrounds, and other government and private agencies;
7. Flexible and a team player; and
8. Preferably a resident of Municipality of Palapag, Northern Samar.

📌PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT📌

The Palapag PESO is looking for fifty (50) poor but deserving students and out-of-school youth to become beneficiaries of the 2025 Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) commonly known as “Summer Job”.

Qualifications – Must be 17-30 years of age who are either students (at least graduating from Grade 12) or out-of-school youth (OSY) intending to enrol & pursue their education, and must have the following documentary requirements
1. Duly accomplished SPES Form 2 (Application Form) available at the PESO
2. Photocopy of birth certificate
3. Applicants whose parents are
A. wage-earners, may submit any of the following:
• Photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR)
• Photocopy of Certificate Tax Exemption issued by the BIR
• Original copy of Certificate of Low Income issued by the concerned barangay
B. non-wage earner, may submit any of the following:
• Original copy of Certificate of Indigence or Low Income issued by the Barangay or Social Welfare and Development Office of the LGU
4. In addition to Items 1, 2, & 3, applicants who are
A. students may submit any of the following:
• Photocopy of the latest Form 138 (Students’s Report Card) or Form 137 (Student’s Permanent Record) (for G-12 students)
• Photocopy of the Report of Grades (for college students)
B. out-of-school youth may submit:
• original copy of Certification as OSY issued by the Barangay or the Social Development Welfare office of the LGU.

Prioritization Guidelines – Due to limited funds, the LGU Palapag employs the following guidelines to ensure that the poor and deserving applicants are given priority for the program.

A. Prioritization will be granted to applicants with complete documentary requirements that fall in any of the following criteria;
1st Priority ​-Top 15 “SPES Babies” or beneficiaries of SPES in previous years.
2nd Priority ​-Top 10 college student applicants who have not received any monetary privileges for their academic awards/scholarship in the year 2024 2025.
3rd Priority​-Top 20 applicants who are incoming first year college students that have not availed any monetary scholarship grants from government or non-government agencies in the year 2024-2025.
4th Priority​-5 most deserving Out-of-School Youth

B. In the event that there are two or more applicants coming from the same household that fit in any of the citeria stated in item A, only one of the applicants will be given priority unless there is still available slot to be filled-up.

Aspiring students and OSY may visit the LGU-Palapag PESO during office hours to apply for the program. Accepting of applications will be until March 31, 2025.
