The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a monument dedicated to the service and sacrifice of unidentified soldiers who gave their lives in war. Located at the center of the Libingan ng mga Bayani, it bears the inscription, “Here lies a Filipino soldier whose name is known only to God.”
The memorial features three pillars symbolizing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and serves as a site for wreath-laying ceremonies by government officials and other dignitaries. More than a monument, it stands as a solemn reminder of the countless Filipino soldiers whose identities may have been lost, but whose courage, sacrifice, and service to the nation will never be forgotten.
