Combat Engineer Regiment Conducts Assumption of Command Ceremony for The Incoming Acting Commanding Officer of HHCo

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija — The Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army, led by BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, recently held an Assumption of Command Ceremony for the new Acting Commanding Officer of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHCo) at Headquarters Combat Engineer Regiment, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

During the ceremony, CPT AILEEN PATRICIA P OH (CE) PA formally assumed her duties as the new Acting Commandant of HHCo. The ceremonial handover of the unit symbol was presided over by BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, Regiment Commander.

CPT OH shared her leadership philosophy that growth comes from taking on new challenges and learning from experience and guidance - “making impossible things possible,” - stressing that success starts with the right mindset.

In his message, BGEN CAROLASAN emphasized the importance of committed leadership, professionalism, and unity. He stated these are vital for the operational readiness and excellence of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, supporting the Regiment’s mission. He also expressed his confidence in CPT OH's capabilities and leadership as she takes on her new responsibility.

The ceremony signifies the Regiment’s commitment to effective leadership, demonstrated by HHCo's recent achievements in engineering mobilizations, as it continues its mandate to provide combat engineer support to the Philippine Army.

Combat Engineer Regiment Welcomes BGEN RODERICK A BALBANERO PA for Exit Briefing on Management Audit

Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija — The Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army under the leadership of BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA warmly welcomed BGEN RODERICK A BALBANERO PA, Internal Auditor, Philippine Army, together with his team, during their visit at Headquarters Combat Engineer Regiment, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, on 25 May 2026 for the Exit Briefing on the recently conducted Management Audit by the Office of the Army Internal Audit.

Upon arrival, BGEN BALBANERO and his party were warmly received by the Regiment Commander who likewise introduced the General Staff Officers and key personnel of the Regiment.

The activity commenced with the signing of the guestbook followed by a short fellowship and refreshments. Thereafter, both parties proceeded to the CER Conference Room for the formal Exit Briefing where the Office of the Army Internal Audit presented the results and observations of the Management Audit conducted within the Regiment.

During the activity, the Office of the Army Internal Audit awarded the Combat Engineer Regiment a Certificate of Recognition for garnering 96.16% in compliance and control effectiveness during the Management Audit CY 2026. The recognition reflects the Regiment’s steadfast commitment in upholding effective governance through the implementation and monitoring of a sound system of internal controls.

The activity underscores the Regiment’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of organizational systems and operational processes in support of the Philippine Army’s mission.

Combat Engineer Regiment Conducts Change of Command Ceremony of Combat Engineer Support Company and Combat Engineer School

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army under the leadership of BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, Regiment Commander successfully conducted the Change of Command Ceremony of the Combat Engineer Support Company (CESC) and the Combat Engineer School (CES) at EP Clubhouse, 7ID, PA, Fort Ramon Magsasay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

For the Combat Engineer Support Company (CESC), CPT RODOLFO B RIVERA III (CE) PA formally relinquished his duties as Acting Commanding Officer to 1LT MARY ASSUMPTHA P SANTIÁÑEZ (CE) PA, who officially assumed the position as the newly installed Acting Commanding Officer, CESC.

Meanwhile, for the Combat Engineer School (CES), MAJ IVAN Q ESPERA (CE) PA formally relinquished his duties as Acting Commandant to LTC RIZZA MAE A SAN AGUSTIN CE (GSC) PA, who officially assumed the responsibilities as the newly installed Acting Commandant of CES.

During the ceremony, the outgoing commanders, expressed their gratitude to the officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources for their unwavering support, dedication, and professionalism throughout their leadership. They emphasized the importance of unity, teamwork, and commitment in accomplishing the Regiment’s mission and sustaining the organization’s operational gains.

In their assumption remarks, the newly designated leaders expressed their commitment to sustain the gains and accomplishments, and to further enhance the institution’s capability in developing competent and mission-ready Combat Engineers for the Philippine Army.

In his message, BGEN CAROLASAN commended the outgoing commanders for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Regiment while extending his confidence and support to the incoming leaders as they continue to uphold the mission, traditions, and excellence of the Combat Engineer Regiment.
