The Bureau of Internal Revenue developed the eAFS online portal to make complying to the taxpayer easier.
What is eAFS?
The Electronic Audited Financial Statements (eAFS) is a web-based application system that enables the taxpayers to submit their filed Income Tax Returns (ITR), Audited Financial Statements (AFS) and other required attachments online in PDF file format.
How to Download Your Form (1701, 1701A, 1701Q, 1702Q)
1. Click on the appropriate form that you wish to download.
2. The form will open in a new browser tab. Click on PRINT on the upper right side of the screen.
3. Select SAVE AS PDF (or a similar option) for the destination and click SAVE. If that option is not available, you may need to download a PDF printer that allows you to Print to PDF. We recommend the free CutePDF Writer. You can see instructions on how to download it below.
4. Your file should then download to your chosen location.
How to Download Your Other Attachment Files
1. Click on the file that you want to download (example: BIR Notification or AAB Payment Confirmation)
2. The file should automatically download to your computer.
Once you've successfully download all of your attachments, you'll have to compile your them into a single file. This is a comprehensive user guide on how you can compile your attachments whether you're using Windows or Mac OS: How to merge your attachments into a single file (Windows or Mac)
How to Rename your Files following the Proper Naming Convention
When you are done compiling all your attachments into a single file, you'll have to rename these files to the prescribed naming convention of the BIR as listed below:
File #1 - EAFS#########ITRTYMMYYYY / EAFS#########ITR
File #2 - EAFS#########AFSTYMMYYYY
File #3 - EAFS#########OTHTYMMYYYY
File #4 - EAFS#########TCRTYMMYYYY-01
where ######### is your 9-digit TIN
where MM is the Month end of the taxable year (if Annual filing) or quarter (if Quarterly filing)
where YYYY is your taxable year
and where 01 - is the first file in the series (File #4)
If you are filing this for for Quarterly Filings, the naming convention changes a bit.
File #1 - EAFS#########ITR
File #2 - EAFS#########AFS
File #3 - EAFS#########OTH
File #4 - EAFS#########TCR -01
where ######### is your 9-digit TIN
where is the quarter you're filing for (i.e. 1Q, 2Q, 3Q)
where MM is the Month end of the taxable month
where YYYY is your taxable year
and where 01 - is the first file in the series (applicable for File #4)
