Palo Leyte- As part of the continuing initiative of the Philippine National Police Civil Security Group to make government services more accessible to the public, the Regional Civil Security Unit 8 (RCSU 8) successfully conducted a two-day License to Own and Possess Fi****ms (LTOPF) and Fi****ms Registration Assistance activity on May 7–8, 2026 at Camp Lukban, headquarters of the Samar Provincial Police Office.
The activity was led by PLTCOL SOLEDAD L ELEFANIO, Acting Chief of RCSU 8, in coordination with personnel from RLO 8, RFU8 (Forensic), RFU 8 (Finance), RMDU 8, and Catbalogan CPS, with the support of PRO8 headed by PBGEN JASON L CAPOY, RD, PRO8 and PCOL ARWIN TADEO, PD Samar PPO.
The activity served as a One-Stop Shop for applicants seeking assistance in the processing of LTOPF applications and fi****ms registration renewals. It aimed to promote efficient, convenient, and accessible frontline services while ensuring compliance with existing fi****ms regulations.
The 2-day LTOPF and Fi****ms Registration Assistance successfully processed a total of 123 applications, categorized as follows:
* LTOPF New Applications – 50
* LTOPF Renewal Applications – 63
* Fi****ms Registration Renewal – 10
PLTCOL ELEFANIO emphasized that the activity reflects the commitment of the PNP CSG, FEO and RCSU 8 in bringing government services closer to the people while promoting responsible firearm ownership and strengthening public trust through efficient and accessible frontline service.
