Behind every success story is a journey of perseverance, faith, and self-beliefโand for Jerome Bajaro, his story shines with all three. A path not paved but drawn using the brushes and palettes of a make-up kit.
As a Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) monitored child from elementary to high school, Jerome grew up in the island municipality of San Miguel, Tabaco City, facing the realities of poverty.
โThere were many times I needed things for school, but my parents struggled to provide for us, especially since all four of my brothers were also studying,โ Jerome said. Yet through the support of 4Ps and the unyielding efforts of his parents, education remained within reach.
Determined to ease his familyโs burden, Jerome discovered his passion and potential in the make-up industry while still in high school. Since he didnโt have his own hair and make-up tools yet, he would tag along with his friends to gigs, assisting and learning the craft.
โThe money I earned from my first rackets, I invested in buying my own make-up supplies,โ Jerome added.
