Happy Teacherโs Day! Teacher Ikaw Naman!!!
Today, we honor the heart and soul of our education system, our beloved teachers. As your Schools Division Superintendent, I am deeply grateful for the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of every teacher in DepEd Leyte.
This year, as we transitioned to the 3-term school calendar, you met change with adaptability and professionalism. Because of you, the shift was smooth and our learners were well supported. This is the mark of true educators and nation builders.
Your commitment reaches beyond the classroom. Leyte's commendable performance in national assessments, in academic and sports competitions, and in many other endeavors are your successes. Behind every medal, every top score, and every proud moment for our division is a teacher who gave time, guidance, and heart. I also commend your active role in the ARAL Program, where your creativity has helped our learners recover and accelerate their academic growth. The difference you make in their lives will ripple through generations.
I know the road is not easy. Natural calamities, limited resources, and the demands of new policies or programs have challenged us. Yet you remain resilient and steadfast. You are the pillars on which our schools stand, and the future of Leyte and our country rests on your capable shoulders.
Let me assure you, DepEd Leyte is fully committed to your welfare. We will continue to provide professional growth through training programs and opportunities, and to support your well-being through wellness initiatives. We will keep working to ensure that your benefits reach you efficiently and fairly. These are small tokens compared with the immeasurable value you bring, but they reflect how much we value you.
Let us keep working together, with parents, communities, and stakeholders, to nurture learners who are not only academically competent but also values-driven and compassionate.
