New Year’s Message from the Regional Director

As we welcome 2026, I extend my warmest New Year’s greetings to our dedicated teachers, school leaders, non-teaching personnel, learners, parents, partners, and stakeholders of DepEd Region VIII.

The turning of the year invites us to pause, reflect, and renew our purpose. The year that has passed tested our resilience, strengthened our commitment, and reminded us why we chose to serve in education. Through challenges and triumphs alike, we have remained steadfast in our mission—guided by our shared belief that education is both a public trust and a moral responsibility.

As we step into 2026, let us continue to serve with compassion, seeing beyond numbers and reports to the real lives behind them—our learners, their families, and our communities. Let us serve with grateful hearts, acknowledging the privilege of being instruments of hope, growth, and transformation. And let us serve with a strong commitment to be greater, because excellence in public service is not a destination but a continuous journey.
