The group, composed of ๐๐’ ๐“๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐’ ๐‡๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐š๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฒ, was managed by ๐ˆ๐Œ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ ๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, a tour agency based in ๐“๐š๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐›๐š๐ง ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. The groupโ€™s food service provider was ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ณ ๐†๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ, a private business based in Palompon, Leyte.

According to reports, the ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  appeared at around ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ:๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐๐Œ on the same day, after the group had departed from the island. As of this statement, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ• ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ are currently confined at ๐๐š๐ฒ๐›๐š๐ฒ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‡๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ and are receiving appropriate medical care.

Did you know there are specific guidelines on how to properly display, use, and even dispose of our national flag, as mandated by Republic Act No. 8491 (Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines)?

Let's all be mindful of these rules to honor our country's most important symbol:

โŒ Improper Display:

Always keep the flag in proper position, never touching the ground or reversed (unless in a state of war).

Damaged flags should be replaced and properly disposed of by burning in a solemn ceremony.

โŒ Mutilation & Alteration:

Memes, protest props, or acts that insult the flag are PROHIBITED.

No logos, writings, or changes should be made to its design.

โŒ Improper Use:

Avoid printing on napkins, cushions, packaging, ads, or products for sale.

It should not be used as clothing, costumes, curtains, or ceiling decor.

Disposal:

When a flag is no longer fit for display, it must be formally retired by burning in a solemn and dignified ceremony, preferably led by a government office, school, or authorized civic organization.

Throwing away, tearing, or discarding a worn-out flag in an disrespectful manner is PROHIBITED.

Let's educate ourselves and others! A fine of P5,000 to P20,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 1 year awaits those who violate RA 8491.
