02 June 2026 || 1st Archangels Futsal Cup 2026 in Pamplona Gains Full Support from Mayor Manuel O. Agustin

The Pamplona Archangels Football Club, in partnership with the Central Bicol Region Football Association, and in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Pamplona under the active leadership of Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, successfully held the 1st Pamplona Archangels Futsal Cup last May 28–29, 2026, bringing together young athletes and futsal enthusiasts in a celebration of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The two-day tournament gathered young futsal players and sports enthusiasts, highlighting talent, teamwork, discipline, and the growing passion for football in the municipality.

Mayor Manuel O. Agustin clearly manifested his support through the sponsorship of the medals and trophies awarded to the participating teams and winners. This gesture reflects his continuing commitment to promote sports development and provide meaningful opportunities for children and youth in Pamplona.

The successful staging of the futsal cup reinforces the municipality’s dedication to strengthening grassroots sports programs and encouraging a healthy, active, and competitive community.

29 May 2026 || Mayor Agustin Seeks National Backing for Pamplona Farmers

Municipal Mayor Manuel O. Agustin made the most of a brief but valuable opportunity during a chance encounter with Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, despite the constraints of a short flight.

With only limited time to engage, Mayor Agustin did not hesitate to initiate a meaningful conversation with the Senator, who had recently visited drought-affected farmlands in Camalig, Albay to explore possible solar irrigation projects. Recognizing the importance of such initiatives for Pamplona, the Mayor swiftly sought the Senator’s support and explored potential collaborations that could benefit the municipality’s farming sector.

In the same short window, Mayor Agustin also connected with Atty. Renen Dalisay, former Administrator of the National Food Authority (NFA) under the late President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Seizing the moment, he actively sought guidance and assistance to strengthen local food security efforts and uplift the welfare of Pamplona’s farmers.

Mayor Agustin’s proactive approach and determination to seek support reflect his unwavering commitment to public service and agricultural development.

26 May 2026 || Mayor Agustin Leads Stakeholder Efforts for Bicol River Basin Resilience Project

Mayor Manuel O. Agustin demonstrated active leadership and participation in the stakeholder engagement activities for Package I: Consulting Services for the Detailed Engineering Design of River Management and Flood Mitigation Projects in the Pampanga and Bicol River Basins with Ecofemme Environmental Consulting Services (EECS) engaged to handle Environmental and Social Safeguards under the supervision of Kyong-Ho Engineering & Architects Co., Ltd. in joint venture with Yooshin Engineering Corporation.

As part of the project’s safeguards activities, a series of stakeholder engagement initiatives are being conducted, including Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions. The activities seek to inform affected barangays, stakeholders, and community members about the project’s objectives, components, potential environmental and social impacts, as well as the mitigation and management strategies to be implemented throughout the project lifecycle. Moreover, these engagements provide a platform for stakeholders to raise concerns, share insights, and contribute to a transparent and inclusive environmental assessment process during the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) phase.

Representatives from various municipal offices, along with the Punong Barangay of Cagbunga, attended the coordination meeting to ensure effective collaboration and clear communication.

22 May 2026 || DAY 2 & 3 COMPLETE: PAMPLONA MDRRMO ADVANCES IN WASAR TRAINING

As of May 22, 2026, the Day 2 and Day 3 of the Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training for the MDRRMO Pamplona responders have been successfully completed—marking another significant step in strengthening the municipality’s disaster response capabilities.

With the training facilitated by MDRRMO Minalabac, Pamplona’s emergency responders continue to undergo intensive, hands-on learning in swift water rescue operations, survival techniques, and coordinated response strategies.

Under the steadfast leadership of MDRRMC Chairman and Municipal Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, the municipality remains focused on empowering its responders with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to water-related emergencies such as flooding and flash floods.

Each day of training brings Pamplona closer to its goal of becoming a more prepared, responsive, and disaster-resilient community.

The Local Government Unit of Pamplona, under the steadfast leadership of Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, proudly marks the successful conduct of the Ceremonial Declaration of the Municipality of Pamplona as a State of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS).

This significant milestone was graced by distinguished officials and partners in peacebuilding: Rev. Fr. Romulo O. Castañeda, Hon. Ronaldo F. Franco (Municipal Vice Mayor), Hon. Domingo D. Durante, Jr. (Committee Chair on Peace and Order), PCPT Monica R. San Juan (Acting Chief of Police, Pamplona MPS), Ms. Kathlyn B. Lopez (MLGOO VI, DILG Pamplona), LT Kenny E. Villafuerte (Commander, CGS Camarines Sur), PCOL Virgilio O. Olalia, Jr. (Provincial Director, CSPPO), and COL Arnel B. Bautista (Acting Brigade Commander, 902 BDE, 9ID, PA), together with the dedicated men and women of the Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard and the BFP.

The SIPS declaration signifies that Pamplona has successfully dismantled insurgent threats and sustained peace and order within the municipality. More than a recognition, it is a testament to the collective efforts of our security forces, local government, and the community in building a safer and more resilient Pamplona.

Officially commenced yesterday, May 19, 2026, marks the first day of the Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training for the MDRRMO Pamplona responders, with the training facilitated by MDRRMO Minalabac.

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, Pamplona continues to prioritize disaster preparedness by investing in the skills and capability of its frontline responders. Emergency personnel and key offices involved in rescue operations are now undergoing intensive training.

This training is vital in equipping Pamplona responders with advanced techniques in swift water rescue, improving teamwork and coordination during emergencies, and ensuring faster, more efficient, and life-saving responses in times of disaster.

11 May 2026 || Tubig para sa Pamplona: Aksyon ni Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, Pangako ni Wally Bayola, Suporta ni Sen. Tito Sotto

Isang makabuluhang pangako ang binitiwan ng kilalang komedyante at TV host na si Wally Bayola para sa kanyang bayang kinalakihan—ang Pamplona. Sa kanyang pagdalo sa Gabi ng Parangal 2026, kung saan siya ay pinarangalan, buong puso niyang ipinahayag ang kanyang hangaring makatulong sa pagpapatupad ng Pamplona Water System Project na layong maghatid ng sapat at malinis na tubig sa bawat Pamplonian.

Sa isang personal na paanyaya ni Mayor Manuel O. Agustin, naibahagi ang matagal nang pangarap ng lokal na pamahalaan na masolusyunan ang suliranin sa suplay ng tubig sa bayan. Bilang tugon, hindi nag-atubili si Bayola na gamitin ang kanyang impluwensya upang maipaabot ang pangangailangan ng Pamplona sa pambansang antas.

Agad ding naidulog ang nasabing proyekto kay Senator Tito Sotto, na kilala sa pagsuporta sa mga programang pangkaunlaran sa mga lokal na pamahalaan. Inaasahan na sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng lokal na liderato at mga kaagapay sa pambansang pamahalaan, maisusulong ang proyektong ito tungo sa konkretong aksyon.
