๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: The DTI-Tatak Pinoy Council Secretariat (DTI-TPCS) served as a Resource Speaker at the 4th Philippine Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Summit (PPRAS), held today (September 24) at the Bonifacio Global City. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ’Š

Led by Division Chief Joyce Ria Estares, the DTI-TPCS discussed the Tatak Pinoy Act and its role in strengthening the Philippine pharmaceutical industry by encouraging government to drive innovation, regulation, and global competitiveness in domestic industries.

The Tatak Pinoy Strategy, a guiding roadmap for industrial development anchored on the Tatak Pinoy Act, provides a strategic framework for strengthening local pharmaceutical capabilities to promote globally competitive manufacturing.

By leveraging government support, Division Chief Estares highlighted how government and industry can build a more advanced pharmaceutical ecosystem that can produce stronger Philippine products and services.

The Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, and Health Products sector is also one of the 9 priority sectors of the Tatak Pinoy Strategy.

This yearโ€™s PPRAS carried the theme, โ€œShaping Future-Ready Regulatory Systems for Innovative Healthcare,โ€ and brought together a wide range of professionals and practicioners from the healthcare sector, as well as other key stakeholders from the government.

The DTI Bagong Pilipinas MSME Hub welcomed international and local participants of the Cross-Regional Forum on Women Creators and Entrepreneurs: Leveraging IP for Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

On behalf of CIG Supervising Head and Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza D. Bautista, BMDPO Chief TIDS Ann Malhotra delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the MSME Hubโ€™s role in helping Filipino enterprises showcase their products, strengthen market presence, and connect with potential customers and partners.

She also emphasized how intellectual property, branding, and market access can help creative MSMEs build business value and bring their products closer to their intended markets.
