Orientation Training on Infant-Toddler Early Development (ITED)
On August 12, 2026, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of the Local Government Unit of Pandan conducted the first day of the Orientation Training on Infant-Toddler Early Development (ITED).
The activity was attended by Punong Barangays and Child Development Workers/Teachers, who are key partners in promoting the growth, development, and well-being of infants and toddlers within their communities.
The invited resource persons were Ms. Maribel T. Tomagan and Ms. Hannah T. Ibarrientos of the Provincial Government of Catanduanes. They provided valuable inputs and guidance on Infant-Toddler Early Development, emphasizing the importance of responsive caregiving, early stimulation, and appropriate support during the critical early years of a child’s life.
The orientation also strengthened the participants’ understanding of their respective roles and responsibilities in promoting the holistic development of infants and toddlers. It highlighted the importance of collaboration among the barangay officials, Child Development Workers/Teachers, parents, and other stakeholders in ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment for young children.
Overall, the first day of the training was a meaningful and informative learning experience that enhanced the participants’ knowledge and awareness of ITED and strengthened their commitment to providing quality early childhood development services in their communities.
