At 8:00 PM today (04 August 2026), the Low Pressure Area (LPA 08a) located west of Bacnotan, La Union developed into Tropical Depression MAYMAY. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 PM today.

As of 2:00 PM today, 04 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 07f) (formerly "LUIS") being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has dissipated.

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08a) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
