Found in Panguil is the statue of Prince Carlos, son of King Philip V of Spain. For three years, from the period 1724 to 1727, Prince Carlos stayed at the church convent of Nuestra Senora de la Natividad, then the biggest church in Laguna. After the death of King Philip V, Carlos' half brother, Fernando, ascended the throne but later died after a brief rule. Carlos became king, known as Carlos III.

During his reign, he commissioned the statues of Senora De La'O and Sto. Nino de La'O as a sign of gratitude to the people of Panguil.

Laguna has been a choice destination for spur-of-the-moment team building, weekend out-of-town trips, and what-have-yous. And most of the time, it's the pool that becomes the centerpiece in the getaway. Martha' Place, however, encourages you to go out and see nature while you're in Panguil. We are a walking distance from Panguil Eco-Park, home of Ambon Ambon Falls.

An adventure in itself as you have to dip, swim, and hurdle rock formation to get to... this (watch video!)

The Ambon Ambon Falls, Panguil Eco Park, Laguna. It's a 30 to 45 minute trek. One would have to either swim some parts or get on a raft to reach the rapids.
