𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐂𝐑, 𝟏𝟔 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟏 𝐩.𝐦. 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲

Work in government offices and classes at all levels in public and private schools in the National Capital Region and 16 provinces will be suspended starting 1 p.m. today, August 28, 2026, due to the expected further enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon by a Low-Pressure Area that has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 132, issued by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the suspension covers the following areas:

NCR
Abra
Benguet
Ilocos Sur
La Union
Pangasinan
Bataan
Bulacan
Nueva Ecija
Pampanga
Tarlac
Zambales
Batangas
Cavite
Rizal
Oriental Mindoro
Occidental Mindoro

Government agencies providing basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services will continue to operate.
Local chief executives may also suspend classes and/or work in government offices in their respective areas.
In the private sector, the suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements will be left to management.

In line with Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 129 dated August 18, 2026, and in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon, please be informed that there will be 𝗡𝗢 𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗡𝗕𝗜 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 tomorrow, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in the following affected areas:

National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.

Applicants are encouraged to accomplish their NBI Clearance online registration during the suspension of onsite operations.

Onsite NBI Clearance processing in the affected areas will resume on the next regular working day, unless otherwise advised.
