GUN BAN FOR THE 2026 BARANGAY AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN ELECTIONS (BSKE)
As part of the Philippine National Police's commitment to ensuring peaceful, orderly, and credible elections, the public is reminded to strictly comply with the Gun Ban implemented in connection with the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
The Gun Ban prohibits any person from bearing, carrying, or transporting fi****ms and other deadly weapons in public places during the election period unless specifically authorized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). This measure is intended to prevent election-related violence, intimidation, and other criminal activities that may disrupt the democratic process.
The Panitan Municipal Police Station encourages all firearm holders to observe the election regulations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities. Individuals exempted from the Gun Ban must possess the appropriate authority issued by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and carry it at all times while performing official duties.
The public is likewise encouraged to immediately report any person unlawfully carrying fi****ms or engaging in suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the PNP emergency hotlines.
By working together and faithfully observing election laws, we can help ensure that the 2026 BSKE will be peaceful, safe, fair, and free from violence.
"A peaceful election is a shared responsibility. Your cooperation helps protect democracy."
