The Liga ng mga Barangay of Paoay, headed by ABC President Romel R. Ragual, participated in the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2026, held in front of the Municipal Hall of Paoay.

The commemorative program was led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Shiella A. Galano and attended by local government officials, municipal employees, representatives from various sectors, and members of the community.

The celebration paid tribute to the bravery, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes whose unwavering dedication paved the way for the nation's freedom and sovereignty. It also served as a reminder of the shared responsibility of every Filipino to preserve the country's rich history and uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and nation-building.

In line with this year's theme, “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan,” participants reflected on the significance of independence and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering progress and a brighter future for generations to come.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of national pride and gratitude for the freedoms enjoyed today, inspiring all attendees to continue contributing to the development of their community and the nation.
