Today, I attended the Substance Abuse Advocacy Program conducted by the Parañaque City Health Office – Health Promotion and Communication Unit (HPCU) at the Legislative Conference Room, Parañaque City Hall.

Joining me were BADAC Focal Person Ms. May Flor Pagtama and BADAC Staff Ms. Nhoriel Saludo. The program enhanced our knowledge and understanding of substance abuse prevention, health promotion, and community-based advocacy initiatives. It also emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among barangays in promoting healthier, safer, and drug-free communities.

As the Vice Chairperson of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), I remain committed to supporting programs that promote drug prevention, public awareness, and community engagement. Through continuous learning and cooperation, we can further strengthen our efforts in protecting the well-being of every resident of Barangay San Isidro.

Today, I attended the Sangguniang Panglungsod Committee Hearing on the proposed City Ordinance entitled:

"An Ordinance Adopting and Mandating the Annual Observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) every 26th of June in the City of Parañaque, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for Other Related Purposes," authored by Councilor Daniel Eric M. Baes.

The proposed ordinance is a significant step toward institutionalising the City's commitment to the prevention of illegal drugs through sustained public awareness, education, advocacy, and community participation. By formally observing IDADAIT every year, Parañaque further strengthens its support for drug prevention initiatives, rehabilitation programmes, and collaborative efforts among government agencies, communities, and stakeholders in promoting a drug-free and safer city.

As Vice Chairperson of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) of BRGY. SAN ISIDRO, I fully support this initiative, recognising that the fight against illegal drugs requires continuous education, strong partnerships, and active community involvement. Together, we can build a healthier, safer, and more resilient Parañaque for every family.

I continue to make it a priority to attend the General Assemblies of our Homeowners' Associations because these gatherings provide an opportunity to better understand the needs and concerns of our community. By listening directly to our residents, we can respond more promptly and develop practical solutions that benefit everyone.

Today, I attended the Fortunata Village Homeowners' Association General Assembly as an observer and listener. It was a meaningful and productive gathering where important community matters were discussed. I appreciate the officers and members of the HOA for their commitment to promoting unity, cooperation, and the continuous improvement of Fortunata Village.

Through open dialogue and active community participation, we can build a safer, more peaceful, and more progressive Barangay San Isidro.

Today, I attended the assembly of the Young Senior Hearts at UPS 5, led by its President, Mrs. Josephine Doroin. It was a meaningful gathering that highlighted the important role of our senior citizens in building a safer and more united community.

During the assembly, I shared updates on the current peace and order situation in Barangay San Isidro and discussed the continuing efforts of the barangay to ensure the safety and security of every resident. I also encouraged our senior citizens to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, promote respect for the law, and serve as positive role models within their families and neighbourhoods.
