Palitod, Mountain Province – Palitod National High School proudly celebrated three significant milestones in its academic calendar: the 2nd Commencement Exercises, the 11th Moving Up Ceremony, and its Recognition Day, with Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Yawan Dalog–Duclan gracing the occasion as guest speaker.

In her insightful address before graduates, completers, and awardees, Atty. Dalog–Duclan emphasized that the path to success is unique for each individual. She reminded the students not to measure their achievements against others, quoting from the timeless Desiderata: “If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.”

Her powerful message, “Do not compare yourself to others,” resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging the youth to embrace their own journeys with confidence and perseverance.

The event was attended by proud parents, teachers, BLGU officials, and members of the community, all gathered to honor the hard work and accomplishments of the students. The ceremonies highlighted not only academic excellence but also the values of resilience, individuality, and community spirit that Palitod National High School continues to uphold.

Career week conducted; Grade 12 students explore future careers

The recent Career Week at Palitod National High School was focused on 36 Grade 12 students, undergoing series of activities aimed at helping them explore their future academic and career options.

Elvira C. Flora, the school’s guidance designate, led discussions on various topics, including information about nearby and possible colleges and universities the learners can go to. The sessions provided students with insights into different educational institutions, enabling them to make informed decisions about their next steps. Furthermore, Flora shared to the students the trending career options they may choose from.

Principal Ma. Marissa Balao-as delivered a motivational message to the soon-to-be freshmen, encouraging them to cultivate determination, interest, and patience. She emphasized that these qualities are essential in achieving long-term success. The principal shared a testimony of how these qualities can help a person become successful by setting herself as an example.

“Study well our dear students, if you have determination and discipline, you can achieve your goals in life. Whatever career you will choose, it is important. If you want to be an engineer, be it. If you want to be a business person, be it. If you want to be a farmer, be it. These are all important career as long as you advance your knowledge,” the principal said in her message.

As part of the Career Week activities, students were interviewed and completed career exit forms. These exercises were designed to help them reflect on their interests and aspirations, ensuring they make well-informed choices when enrolling in college next year.
