In line with strengthening disaster preparedness among young learners, National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026 was successfully conducted on the 12th Day of March 2026 at Anonat Elementary School, spearheaded by the dedicated faculty and staff of the school.

The activity aimed to equip learners with essential knowledge and practical skills on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. Teachers carefully guided the pupils through the proper safety procedures, emphasizing the importance of staying calm and alert during emergencies.

During the drill, learners actively practiced the well-known safety protocol “Duck, Cover, and Hold.” They immediately positioned themselves under sturdy desks, protected their heads, and waited patiently for the evacuation signal. The drill also included an organized evacuation to designated safe areas within the school grounds.

Aside from the simulation, the faculty members conducted short orientations highlighting the do’s and don’ts during an earthquake. Learners were reminded to remain calm, protect their heads, stay away from glass windows, and follow the instructions of their teachers. At the same time, they were cautioned against panicking, running in crowded areas, or returning to classrooms without proper clearance.

Through this meaningful exercise, the learners of Anonat Elementary School gained valuable awareness and preparedness in responding to seismic emergencies. The activity not only strengthened their knowledge but also instilled discipline and responsibility in times of disaster.

As disasters can strike without warning, initiatives like the earthquake drill serve as an important reminder that preparedness today can save lives tomorrow. Indeed, at Anonat Elementary School, safety education remains a shared responsibility, where every learner is trained not only to learn, but also to protect themselves and others in times of need.

BOY SCOUTS ON THE GO! || A true scout leads not only by words but by actions—planting seeds of responsibility today so that tomorrow’s world may grow greener, cleaner, and brighter.

This spirit of responsibility and service was clearly demonstrated today as the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and SELG – the young leaders of Anonat Elementary School – spearheaded a meaningful Campus Clean-Up Drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness and community responsibility among learners.

Guided by the principle of service and discipline, the Boy Scouts and SELG actively participated in cleaning the school grounds, collecting waste materials, sweeping pathways, and ensuring that the campus remained a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone. Their initiative reflected not only leadership but also a strong sense of duty toward protecting nature and preserving Mother Earth.

The activity was led and supported by School Head Eleanor T. Sasat, who continuously encourages learners to take part in activities that build character, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Assisting the activity was Administrative Officer II Bruce D. Domingo, who helped guide the young scouts and reminded them that leadership begins with simple yet meaningful actions such as caring for their surroundings.

The event served as a living example of what it means to be a Boy Scout and SELG, a leader, a helper, and a protector of the environment. Through their actions, the scouts became role models for their fellow learners, especially those in the lower grade levels, showing them the importance of teamwork, discipline, and respect for nature.

Their dedication inspired the school community and proved that leadership is not defined by age but by actions that create positive change.

HEADS UP || Career Guidance Program Inspires Young Dreamers at Anonat Elementary School

ANONAT, PARACELIS, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE-Anonat Elementary School successfully conducts its Career Guidance Program, empowering pupils to explore their dreams and future professions through an informative and inspiring activity held recently at the school grounds.

The program is spearheaded by School Head Mrs. Eleanor T. Sasat, who also serves as the Master of Ceremony. The activity formally opens with the singing of the National Anthem led by Roviejane Rosete, followed by an invocation delivered by Ma’am Airen D. Monong.

In her Welcome Address, Ma’am Regina M. Nayam-an emphasizes the importance of guiding learners at an early age in identifying their interests, strengths, and aspirations. She highlights that career awareness plays a vital role in shaping responsible and goal-driven individuals.

Ma’am Jema D. Ruiz delivers the Career Guidance message, underscoring the value of education, perseverance, and informed decision-making in achieving one’s ambitions. She encourages pupils to dream big and to begin preparing for their future professions while they are still young.

An inspirational message is also given by the ever-supportive Barangay Official and Chairman of the Committee on Education, Hon. Franklin Sasat. He reminds the learners that success is built on determination, discipline, and continuous learning, assuring them of the community’s support in their educational journey.

The highlight of the activity features the pupils confidently walking on stage wearing professional attire representing their dream careers. Dressed as teachers, nurses, engineers, police officers, soldiers, and other professionals, the learners proudly showcase their aspirations, symbolizing hope and ambition for the future.

The Career Guidance Program stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the dreams and long-term goals of its learners. Through this initiative, Anonat Elementary School continues to shape future professionals who are prepared, inspired, and determined to succeed.
