Mabaclao SLP Association Open Doors, Strengthens Community Livelihood in Barangay Bantay .
Barangay Bantay, Paracelis, Mountain Province — December 15, 2025.
The Mabaclao Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Association officially marked its opening, signaling a major step forward in advancing community-based livelihood initiatives in Barangay Bantay.
The opening ceremony was graced by two (2) personnel from the MSWDO Paracelis, Melanie Fagyan and May Lanie Bumosao shared meaningful and inspirational messages with the association members. The messages highlighted the vital role of unity, accountability, and sustainability in ensuring the long-term success of the livelihood project.
In her message, Ms. May Lanie Bumosao, SLP Focal Person of the MSWDO Paracelis, emphasized that the project’s sustainability lies in collective responsibility, transparent management, and the active participation of all members. She further shared that the livelihood initiative should serve not only as a source of income but also as a symbol of cooperation, self-reliance, and community empowerment. Through hard work, proper stewardship of resources, and continued community support, the association can ensure that the efforts invested today will yield lasting benefits for present and future generations.
With a seed capital fund amounting to Php 500,000.00, the Mabaclao SLP Association is now fully operational and ready to serve the community. The livelihood project offers a variety of consumer goods, including different types of feeds and rice, as well as land transport services (BAJAJ) to help improve mobility and accessibility within the locality.
The Mabaclao SLP Association was organized in partnership with the OFAS and the MSWDO of the Local Government Unit of Paracelis, headed by Hon. Marcos G. Ayangwa, and is funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
