𝗦𝗚𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮, 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

Personnel of Serapio Gawan National High School, led by Principal III Belinda C. Afiagan, convened this Thursday morning, to finalize preparations for Brigada Eskwela, enrolment activities, and the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

During the planning meeting, the school identified priority improvement projects to ensure that school facilities are safe, functional, and ready for learners. Among the identified needs include repair of broken doorknobs, damaged switches, faulty electrical wiring, clogged drainage systems, gutters, bowls, and urinals. The replacement of busted bulbs, damaged blackboards, and nonfunctional electric fans in the classrooms was also prioritized.

The school likewise scheduled classroom repainting, installation of a wash area and fencing along the Senior High School building and dismantling of the pathway shade. Weeding and landscaping activities are also part of the school improvement efforts.

To ensure the smooth implementation of Brigada Eskwela, committees and work assignments were organized among the school personnel. The enrolment process flows and forms, including the designation of in-charge personnel for every station were also discussed to facilitate efficient and orderly services for learners and parents.

A short program will officially kick off in the morning of June 1 (Monday), followed by the opening of enrolment.

In the same way, activities for the opening block were likewise finalized. A thanksgiving service will formally commence the school year on June 8, followed by a general orientation for students. Reading, numeracy and health assessments will also be conducted as part of the opening activities on June 9 to 10.

Meanwhile, the General PTA Meeting is scheduled on June 11 in preparation for the instructional block on June 15.

Through collective planning, teamwork, and shared commitment, the personnel of Serapio Gawan National High School continue to strengthen their efforts in providing a safe, organized, and learner-friendly environment as they prepare for another productive and successful school year.
