As the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) spearheads the national 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, we call on every Filipino to move from awareness to action, from advocacy to activism, and from watchers to warriors.

This is more than an invitation; it is a shared national responsibility to ensure every woman and girl lives free from fear, abuse, and violence.

A VAW-free Philippines gives us the following signals for action:
𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 violence against women. Women’s rights are human rights.
𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 beyond silence. Do not judge a story you don’t fully know.
𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 with compassion. Put yourself in the shoes of victim-survivors, and champion their right to safety, dignity, and justice.

𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙤

The Municipality of Pasacao successfully conducted its Local Legislative Agenda (LLA) Formulation Workshop on September 16-17, 2025 at Bluish Resort, Pili, Camarines Sur. The two-day activity gathered all Sangguniang Bayan members and staff to craft the Municipality’s Local Legislative Agenda for 2025-2028.

The program formally opened with a welcome message from Vice Mayor Hon. Jorge R. Bengua, followed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Niño A. Tayco, who presented his priority thrusts for the current administration. The event was further graced by the presence of Dir. Ray D. Caceres, CESO V, whose support emphasized the importance of aligning local legislation with governance priorities.

Serving as facilitators of the workshop were Engr. Jerwin A. Novio, Ph.D., Cluster Head; LGOO VI Salvacion Gladdy F. San Joaquin, Sub-Cluster Leader for District 2; and LGOO VI Liz Anne D. Ramos, the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of Pasacao. Providing technical support was LGOO II Julis M. Daet.

This workshop marks a significant step for Pasacao in strengthening its legislative foundation, ensuring that policies and ordinances are responsive to the needs of its people and supportive of sustainable local development.

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐨 𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Joint Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) was successfully conducted on September 8, 2025 at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Pasacao, Camarines Sur.

The activity was convened to discuss and harmonize peace and order concerns, as well as the intensified anti-drug programs of the municipality for the 3rd Quarter of 2025. Presided over by the Local Chief Executive, the meeting was attended by council members, representatives from national government agencies, uniformed personnel and other stakeholders.

Highlights of the discussion included updates on the current peace and order situation, drug-clearing operations and community-based rehabilitation programs, DepEd student safety and security plan of action and the presentation and approval of the 2026-2028 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan of the municipality. Further, notable accomplishments and coordination mechanisms with partner agencies were presented.

Barangay Dalupaon proudly received the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) Development Grant, a recognition of its outstanding commitment to promoting peace, order, and amicable settlement of disputes within the community. 🏆

This grant serves as a reward for the barangay’s dedicated efforts in strengthening the Katarungang Pambarangay system, ensuring that conflicts are resolved fairly, peacefully, and at the grassroots level.

👏 Congratulations to our hardworking Lupon Members, Barangay Officials, and the whole community for making this achievement possible. Truly, this is a testament that unity and commitment to service bring lasting peace and progress. 💙

In line with the observance of the International Youth Month, ASEAN Youth Month, National Youth Month, and Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK), the 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗼𝗻 in collaboration with Dalupaon National High School will spearhead a two-day celebration dubbed as 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗗𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 on August 7-8, 2025, at Dalupaon National High School.

Anchored on the United Nations’ International Youth Day 2025 theme, “𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝘿𝙂𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙,” this celebration aims to highlight the vital role of young people in advancing
sustainable development at the grassroots level.

This year’s celebration will feature activities such
as panel discussion, environmental awareness campaigns, community service drives, and skills training. These activities aim to build youth capacity, promote civic engagement, and strengthen their participation in local governance.

The LYDO and DILG jointly conduct Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Meeting on August 1, 2025 at EOC Conference Room. The meeting aimed to discuss important updates on SK programs, projects, and activities, as well as to strengthen coordination and compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.

𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑵𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑺𝑺: 𝑳𝑮𝑼 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝑪𝑺𝑶 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆

In line with the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) mandate to promote participatory governance and strengthen people's participation in local development, the Municipal CSO Conference was successfully conducted on August 1, 2025 at EOC Conference Room.

The activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Pasacao, through the Sangguniang Bayan, CSO Desk Officer and the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development The conference served as a platform to orient and capacitate civil society organizations on their crucial role in local governance, particularly in the accreditation and selection of CSO representatives to the Local Special Bodies (LSBs).

A total of 25 CSOs actively participated in the conference, representing a wide array of sectors such as women, youth, farmers and fisherfolk, persons with disabilities, faith-based organizations, business sector, Kabalikat, transport, healthcare organization and other community-based groups.
