BOAC, Marinduque -- The Marinduque Provincial Tourism Council (MPTC) successfully held its second special board meeting on Thursday, October 23, at the DTI Marinduque Negosyo Center.
The said meeting was presided by its vice president, Romeo Mataac, Jr. and attended by 10 members of the Board including Provincial Tourism Head Rino Labay.
The special assembly addressed several critical items aimed at driving the province's tourism development. Key discussions and outcomes included: an update on the MPTC Oathtaking process, ensuring the formal structure and mandate of the Council are fully in place; the status of the corresponding Executive Order; a thorough analysis of the Marinduque Airport Survey Results, which will shape future strategies for air travel accessibility; and a significant discussion on the anticipated arrival of a cruise ship, focusing on logistical preparations and maximizing economic benefits for local businesses. The board also addressed other operational and strategic matters.
The MPTC confirms that the meeting was productive, solidifying the Council's commitment to enhancing Marinduque's tourism landscape, improving infrastructure, and creating sustainable opportunities for the local populace.
