WATCH | The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) commemorated the 86th Anniversary of Commonwealth Act No. 591 and the 59th Founding Anniversary of the ASEAN through a back-to-back celebration, honoring the agency’s institutional journey and its growing role in the ASEAN region.

The event featured dedicated exhibits showcasing the history and progress of Philippine official statistics, as well as the Philippines’ continuing cooperation with its ASEAN neighbors. It also brought together key PSA officials personnel in celebrating these two important milestones.

A pop quiz was also held to test personnel’s knowledge of the Commonwealth Act No. 591 and the ASEAN.

This celebration reminds us of how far Philippine statistics have come, and the work that remains as we move forward with our ASEAN partners. 🤝

The Philippine Statistics Authority – National Capital Region – Provincial Statistical Office V (PSA-NCR-PSO V) is currently participating in the General Membership Assembly of the Senior Citizens Association of Barangay Talon Singko Chapter today, 03 September 2026, at the Barangay Talon Singko Covered Court, Apollo 4 St., Moonwalk Village, Barangay Talon Singko, City of Las Piñas.

As part of the activity, the PSA-NCR-PSO V National ID Team is providing convenient onsite services to the attendees, including:

🪪 National ID Registration
🔎 TRN Retrieval
📄 Issuance of National ID in paper format
📱 Assistance in accessing the Digital National ID through the eGovPH App

The PSA team also took the opportunity to educate and raise awareness among senior citizens about the National ID, its benefits, and its importance as a valid proof of identity in accessing government and private services.

Leading the information drive are Mr. Michael Q. Montances, Statistical Analyst, and Ms. Jeselle B. Guibao, Registration Officer I, who shared important information and answered questions from the attendees regarding the National ID.

Through initiatives like this, the PSA-NCR-PSO V continues to bring essential government services closer to the people—ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward a more accessible and inclusive digital government.

TINGNAN | Eksportasyon ng Saging ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026) 🍌

Noong Hulyo 2026, kabilang sa sampung nangungunang pangkat ng kalakal sa exportasyon ng Pilipinas ang saging. Naitala ang halaga ng exportasyon nito sa USD 110.62 milyon, na may kabuuang bigat na 187.92 libong metrikong tonelada.

TINGNAN | Importasyon ng Bigas ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026) 🌾

Nitong Hulyo 2026, umabot sa USD 214.50 milyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng bigas sa Pilipinas, at ito ay may kabuuang bigat na 516.78 libong metrikong tonelada.

Narito naman ang apat na pangunahing bansa na pinanggalingan ng imported na bigas noong Hulyo 2026:

🇻🇳Vietnam – 49.6%
🇹🇭Thailand – 19.1%
🇲🇲Myanmar – 16.3%
🇵🇰Pakistan – 12.1%

TINGNAN | Kabuuang Importasyon ng Pagkain ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026)

Umabot sa USD 1.39 bilyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng pagkain sa Pilipinas noong Hulyo 2026. Mas mataas ito ng 3.6% kumpara noong Hulyo 2025 na may halagang USD 1.34 bilyon.

Samantala, naitala ang kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng pagkain sa 1.72 milyong metrikong tonelada, mas mataas ito ng 14.0% kumpara noong Hulyo 2025. Ito rin ay 13.4% ng kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng bansa.
