A 76-year-old pensioner and loyal player of Casino Filipino Olongapo emerged as the sole winner of the Php2 million must-go jackpot during PAGCOR’s “₱1K for ₱2M” nationwide linked bingo event held on March 29 at Casino Filipino (CF) Angeles in Pampanga.

Hosted at the newly renovated CF Angeles, the event was simultaneously played across multiple Casino Filipino branches and bingo beneficiary venues nationwide.

The linked bingo event awarded a total of Php2.9 million in tax-free prizes across 10 regular games, with an additional Php600,000 distributed during warm-up, speedy, and U Pick ‘Em 8 rounds.

The next “₱1K for ₱2M” nationwide linked bingo event is set for June 14, 2026, once again at CF Angeles.

𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐂𝐎𝐑 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐎𝐉 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥

The Department of Justice and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation have signed a data-sharing agreement placing DOJ officials and employees under the National Database of Restricted Persons (NDRP).

The move enforces existing prohibitions under Presidential Decree No. 1869, barring government personnel from entering and participating in gaming activities in regulated establishments.

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco said the initiative strengthens accountability and compliance across the public sector, while Justice Secretary Fredderick A. Vida emphasized the need for public servants to uphold the law in both duty and conduct.

In 2025, PAGCOR voided Php310 million in winnings involving individuals prohibited from gambling, highlighting intensified enforcement.

All shared data will be handled in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

PAGCOR is investing in the future of Filipino learners by allocating an initial Php1.37 billion to build 25 public school buildings across the country.

This marks the first phase of a two-year program to construct 125 school buildings, or around 1,500 classrooms, in partnership with the Department of Education and recipient local government units.

Each beneficiary LGU will receive about Php55 million for a fully equipped, three-story building with 12 classrooms designed to provide a safer, more conducive learning environment for students.

With a target completion by 2027, PAGCOR underscores its commitment to nation-building through education.

Beyond infrastructure, the agency is also mobilizing support from its gaming licensees to fund classroom repairs and rehabilitation, ensuring that more Filipino learners can study in environments where their potential can truly thrive.

Casino Filipino Angeles is raising the bar in player experience through a major upgrade as part of the modernization drive initiated by PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.

Fully funded by Century Resort Hotel Corporation at no cost to PAGCOR, the upgrade – with an estimated cost of Php450 million – is designed to deliver a more seamless, comfortable, and immersive gaming environment for patrons.

Key areas are already operational, including the Bingo Hall, the 3rd floor entertainment venue, and the ground floor events space, allowing guests to enjoy the new surroundings while enhancements continue.

Beyond the upgraded Slot Machine and Table Games areas, the Bingo Hall can now accommodate up to 800 players while the entertainment theater can hold 400 guests –bringing total third floor capacity to 1,200 people.

The ground floor entertainment space on the other hand can host up to 250 guests.

There is also a newly installed LED wall along MacArthur Highway that showcases events and venue announcements in real time.

Renovation began in November 2024 and is on track for completion by mid-2026.

Once fully completed, patrons can enjoy upgraded gaming equipment, improved gaming spaces and integrated entertainment features to create a more engaging experience for guests.

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has stepped up efforts to support tech-based learning by turning over 30 desktop computers to public schools in Navotas City recently.

Of the total donated units, 20 were given to Tanza National High School, while 10 units were allocated to North Bay Boulevard Elementary School (NBBES). The initiative aims to enhance access to digital tools and support both teaching and learning in the city’s public schools.

NBBES Principal Michael Daco said the newly donated computers will be used in the school’s planned computer laboratory, benefiting both educators and students in the upcoming academic year.

“These units will soon empower our teaching personnel to develop dynamic instructional materials and ensure our learners have hands-on access to essential digital skills,” Daco said. “With PAGCOR’s support, we are stepping into the next academic year with greater confidence.”

From February to March this year, PAGCOR has donated a total of 141 desktop computer units to public schools across the country.

𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡

In observance of Women’s Month and the Lenten season, PAGCOR employees came together for a spiritually enriching pilgrimage across seven churches in Batangas.

The journey included visits to Immaculate Conception Parish in Bauan; St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face in Sta. Teresita; Invencion de la Sta. Cruz Parish in Alitagtag; San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in San Nicolas; Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish in Agoncillo; Immaculate Conception Parish in Laurel; and San Guillermo Parish in Talisay.

The pilgrimage provided an opportunity for employees to take a break from their daily responsibilities and devote time to prayer, reflection, discernment, and spiritual renewal. It also served as a meaningful reminder to deepen one’s relationship with God and carry forward a spirit of reflection and purpose in daily life.
