PUBLIC ADVISORY | GUN BAN IN EFFECT FOR THE 2026 BARMM PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

In line with the conduct of the 2026 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections, the Election Gun Ban is now in effect.

Election Period: July 16, 2026 – September 29, 2026

During the election period, the bearing, carrying, or transporting of fi****ms and other deadly weapons is strictly prohibited, unless the person is authorized in writing by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), pursuant to Section 32 of Republic Act No. 7166.

To all airport passengers, visitors, and stakeholders:

Before traveling to BARMM, ensure that you comply with all applicable election regulations concerning fi****ms and deadly weapons. Unauthorized possession or transport of fi****ms during the election period may result in arrest and criminal prosecution.

The Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group remains committed in ensuring safe, secure, and peaceful airports while supporting the orderly conduct of the 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.
