AIR TRAFFIC SERVICE TRAINING FOCUS GROUP CONDUCTS PROFICIENCY TRAINING
In preparation for the implementation and delivery of Introductory Trainings for the newly hired ATCS, the TFG conducted a whole-day Proficiency Check on September 19, 2024. The activity aims to prepare, assess and validate the trainers' proficiency in the delivery of the different modules.
The Introductory Training has the following modules: ICAO and CAAP, Overview of CAAP Services, R.A 6713, Values and Work Ethics, Employees Benefits, Introduction to GAD and Proper Grooming. The said training is similar to NEOP Course offered by the CATC.
"I swell with pride witnessing the commendable performance and instructional talents of Alfred Hermosilla (Davao Approach Asst. FTO for Surveillance), Dave Quiambao (ACC Training Staff) Blaise Villa (Mactan Approach Asst. FTO) and Oriel Galvez (Mactan Approach Training Staff/Admin Officer). To think that these ATMOs have not undergone the Basic Instructional Techniques, yet they deliver the lessons in a dynamic, engaging and well-structured manner." A. Pasaje, the Lead Trainer of the ATS Training Focus enthused.
"Proficiency check of the trainers/lecturers is important to ensure the quality delivery of the modules." Mary Grace Dalumpines also shared.
Likewise, the assessors who shared instructional inputs and who performed the evaluation on site and online were TFG members who had BIT trainings.
Onsite evaluators were Arlene Pasaje (ATS Training Team Lead Trainer) Mary Grace Dalumpines (Approach Division), Cecile Hortado (Manila Approach Training Staff) while the on-line evaluators were Cherry Tempongko (Davao Tower Asst Chief (Admin) and Henson Sorreda (ACC FTO).
Another set of TFG trainers will be doing lectures on September 26, 2024 at the ATMC Briefing Room.
