During the recent BAGANI Opening Ceremony and commissioning of the inaugural Fellows 2026 “Agos Cohort,” ASEAN Youth Organization PH Country Director Lee Troy Calimlim delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of expanding the vision of today's youth beyond national borders.

Highlighting the interconnected nature of modern governance and regional challenges, Mr. Calimlim encouraged the new fellows to ground their service in local communities while embracing a broader, confident regional identity.

The Academy continues to foster collaborative platforms that empower young changemakers to lead with both local dedication and global perspective.

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through the Public Management Development Program – Local Government Executives and Managers Class (PMDP-LGEMC), conducted the inaugural 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the DAP Pasig.

Some 34 learners from 16 local government units across the country, including 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐢𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 and 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐊 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱-𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐚, participated in the five-day intensive learning course aimed at transforming local development challenges into innovative, purposeful, and responsive project concepts, bringing together local government practitioners from various local government units across the country.
