Ang ating watawat ay sumisimbolo hindi lamang ng kasaysayan at dangal ng bansa, kundi ng pananagutang maglingkod nang tapat at makabansa. Sa larangan ng lokal na pamamahala, naipapakita ang tunay na diwa nito sa pamamagitan ng maayos na pamamahala, at pagkilos para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Local Government Academy (LGA) convened its Board of Trustees (BOT) for a meeting on May 26, 2026 at the LGA Office to discuss key developments, accomplishments, and future directions of the Academy. Among the topics discussed were the Academy’s F.Y. 2025 accomplishments, F.Y. 2026 programs and projects, proposed F.Y. 2027 programs and projects, the proposed 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, and the status of the LGATC Modernization Project, highlighting the BOT's role in providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure that the LGA remains responsive to the evolving needs of local governance.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III successfully concluded Module 2: Service-Oriented Leadership yesterday, marking another milestone in the learning journey of the apprentices. Today, they officially begin Module 3: Facilitating Learning for Local Governance, where they will further enhance their facilitation and learning management competencies in support of effective local governance.

In observance of the 2026 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (IACM) and as our advocacy on HIV awareness, the LGA joins the international community in honoring the lives lost to HIV and AIDS and in supporting efforts to strengthen awareness, prevention, and stigma reduction. With the theme “Light the Legacy: Remember. Advance. Act. Keeping the Light Alive,” we stand with our partners in advancing a more compassionate, inclusive, and people-centered HIV response.

Let us continue strengthening awareness, prevention, and stigma reduction efforts in support of a sustained and informed HIV response.

The Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III serves as a formative journey for newly appointed Local Government Operations Officers. It strengthens their technical competencies, deepening public service values, and building a strong foundation for effective and responsive local governance.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The LGA successfully conducted the learning course “Matino, Mahusay at Maaasahan: A Course on the DILG’s Culture of Service (Batch 3)” held from May 5–7, 2026 at the DILG Central Office, participated in by Section Heads and Division Chiefs.

The three-day activity strengthened the Department’s commitment to a values-driven, people-centered, and service-oriented culture anchored on the DILG core values of 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘰, 𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘺, 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘢𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯. Through interactive sessions on integrity, professionalism, resilience, and customer-centered service, participants were equipped to further enhance service delivery and promote continuous improvement within the organization.
