Public Management Development Program - PMDP PMDP is the National Government’s Career Executive Service Development Program.

The goal of PMDP is to produce a corps of development-oriented, competent, dedicated and honest government senior executives and middle managers. It is the National Government’s Career Executive Service Development Program (NGCESDP). Specifically, it aims to help participants develop a keen appreciation of the vital role government executives play in the overall development process; produce compet

ent government leaders committed to the welfare of their constituents and the country’s progress; foster a spirit of kinship, mutual support, and harmony among government leaders working for the common goal of a good life for all; and, deepen the bench of successors to the incumbent government executives to ensure smooth transition in case of promotions or vacancies. Ultimately, the Program aspires to help enhance the image of the Philippine government as an institution imbued with professionalism, integrity and honesty.

The PMDP Website has been compromised by making users copy-paste and run a malicious program that can execute a harmful system command. 𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄.

Although some browsers may still access the website, we recommend that everyone avoid visiting it for their safety. We are currently working on its restoration and security assessment.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our PMDP alumnus, Engr. Alan T. Bacatan, CESE, of the Senior Executives Class (SEC) Batch 13 – Katig, on his appointment as the Regional Director of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region IX. His appointment reflects his strong leadership, commitment, and dedication to advancing technical education and skills development in the region.

In electoral governance, we likewise congratulate Atty. Reddy C. Balarbar of the SEC Batch 4 - Alab-Lahi on his appointment as Regional Election Director of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Region I. His new role highlights his continued commitment to strengthening electoral governance and delivering effective and responsive public service.

In the field of education, we also congratulate Dannie Clark M. Uguil of the Middle Managers Class (MMC) Batch 17 – Gandilan on his appointment as Career Executive Service Officer Rank VI of the Department of Education. This milestone marks another significant step in his career in public service and his continued contribution to the country’s education sector.

Meanwhile, in the tourism sector, we extend our congratulations to Christian M. Salazar of MMC Batch 30 – Sillag on his appointment as Director IV of the Planning Service of the Department of Tourism. LOOK: Representatives from the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) learned more about opportunities for professional and leadership development through separate Public Management Development Program (PMDP) information sessions held on August 24, 2026.

The DAP, through the Center for Career Executive Service Development (CCD), introduced the PMDP and its learning opportunities for public sector professionals. Advocacy and Admission Office Director Reina Carmelita F. Young discussed the program’s scholarship offerings and how its learning interventions can help participants build the competencies needed for leadership and career advancement in government.

The sessions gave DEPDev and DOST representatives a chance to learn more about the PMDP, its admission pathways, and the opportunities available to professionals who want to further their development and contribute more effectively to public service.

AI 501: Leading an AI-Ready Government is a two-day executive learning program designed for senior Philippine government officials leading responsible AI adoption in their agencies.

The course introduces participants to practical applications of AI in government, the opportunities and risks associated with its adoption, and the governance mechanisms necessary to ensure AI is deployed responsibly, ethically, and in the public interest.

Through facilitated dialogues, peer learning, case-based exercises, and the application of assessment tools, participants will assess their agencies’ AI readiness, examine key policy and governance considerations, and translate readiness gaps into concrete leadership actions. The program empowers government executives to make informed, accountable, and public value-driven decisions on AI adoption.

LOOK: In a bid to beef up public sector leadership and expand opportunities for government officials, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through the Center for Career Executive Service Development (CCD), conducted an information session on the Public Management Development Program (PMDP) on 10 and 11 August 2026, for officials of the Board of Investments (BOI) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), respectively.

The session was led by Senior Executive Development Office Director Sheryl D. Reyes and Advocacy and Admission Office Director Reina Carmelita F. Young , who presented key information on PMDP as the National Government’s Career Executive Service Development Program. They highlighted the program’s scholarship opportunities and its role in shaping future-ready leaders in the bureaucracy.

Representatives from DTI and BOI actively participated in the discussion and explored how the program can support continuous leadership and career development through targeted and high-impact learning interventions.
