Empowering Parents, Nurturing Children ๐ŸŒฑ

The Local Government Unit of Malitbog, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Office, successfully conducted a three-day Parent Effectiveness Service Orientation for parents and parent substitutes of children enrolled in the Child Development Centers.

The orientation focused on vital topics including:

*Childrenโ€™s Rights โ€“ promoting awareness and protection of every childโ€™s welfare.

*Responsible Parenthood โ€“ equipping parents with knowledge and values to raise children with care and discipline.

*Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Services โ€“ strengthening holistic programs that support the growth and development of young learners.

This initiative underscores the LGUโ€™s commitment to empowering families and ensuring that children in Malitbog are nurtured in safe, supportive, and loving environments.

The MSWD Office continues to lead programs that uphold family resilience and community development, recognizing that strong families are the foundation of a stronger society.

Attention to all indigent Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Students from Elementary to College.

What: Educational Assistance to PWD Students of Malitbog adopting the Tuloy Aral Walang Sagabal Program.

Requirements:
1. Validated Certificate of Enrollment (from School)- 1 original and 2 photocopy

2. Barangay Certificate of Indigency (name of parent/guardian for minor PWD)- 1 original and 2 photocopy

3. Cedula (name of parent/guardian for minor PWD)- 3 photocopy

4. PWD ID of student- 3 photocopy back to back (dapat dili expire ang PWD ID)

5. Any valid ID of parent/guardian

Schedule of interview/assessment and submission of requirements at MSWD Office:

1. For Elementary PWD Students- July 13, 2026 from 9am to 4pm

2. For Junior and Senior High School PWD Students- July 14, 2026 from 9am to 4pm

3. For College PWD Students- July 15, 2026 from 9am to 4pm

Note:
1. For Elementary, Junior and Senior High School PWD Students, parent or guardian will process the assistance.

2. For College PWD students, the PWD will personally appear to process the assistance.

Today, we came together for an orientation on the Rights of the Child and the vital message of Positive Discipline over Corporal Punishment, guided by the MSWD Officer of Malitbog, Ms. Majalalil Comajig Flores at Lambonao Elementray School, Barangay Lambonao, Malitbog, Southern Leyte.

This gathering was more than just a discussionโ€”it was a commitment. A commitment to nurture every child with love, respect, and guidance. The activity aimed to strengthen awareness among parents, teachers, and learners about protecting childrenโ€™s rights and promoting nurturing, non-violent approaches to discipline.
