NCRPO NABS TWO SUSPECTS, SEIZES HIGH-POWERED FI****MS IN ENTRAPMENT OPERATION

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), under the leadership of PBGEN ANTHONY A ABERIN, Acting Regional Director, successfully carried out an entrapment operation in Muntinlupa City. The operation led to the arrest of two individuals involved in the illegal fi****ms trade and the confiscation of high-powered weapons and ammunition.

At approximately 3:50 PM on December 14, 2024, operatives from the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) NCRPO initiated the operation in Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects. Two other suspects remain at large and hot pursuit operations are ongoing to bring them to justice.

Seized during the operation were several high-powered fi****ms, including four Bushmaster rifles (Caliber 5.56mm), a DPMS Panther Arm (Caliber 5.56mm), an M16 upper and lower receiver, a converted air gun (Caliber .22), assorted gun parts, and several rounds of ammunition. UV powder-dusted buy-bust money, consisting of one genuine PHP1,000 bill and 299 pieces of boodle money, was also recovered.

The confiscated evidence were then inventoried correctly, photographed, and marked in the presence of barangay officials, ensuring transparency in the operation.

PBGEN ABERIN commended the operatives for their dedication and professionalism, emphasizing that this operation is a testament to the NCRPO's proactive approach to eradicating illegal fi****ms.

He said, "This operational success highlights our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our communities in preparation for the 2025 National and Local Elections. Through the principles of AAA Policing—ABLE, ACTIVE, and ALLIED— strict adherence to police operational procedures, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of law enforcement to ensure a safer and more secure Metro Manila."
