𝐋𝐑𝐓-𝟐 𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐖𝐀 𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐆-𝐔𝐏𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌

Nagsasagawa ang Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) ng upgrading sa Train Operating Control Panel (TOCP) ng mga tren sa LRT Line 2 (LRT-2).

Layunin ng pagpapalit mula sa lumang analog system patungo sa digital na TOCP na mapahusay ang onboard Public Address (PA) System. Sa bagong system, magiging awtomatiko na ang paghahatid ng mga anunsyo at mahalagang komunikasyon para sa mga pasahero.

Dahil sa isinasagawang upgrade na tumatagal ng limang araw kada tren, siyam na tren lamang ang bibiyahe sa linya mula Martes hanggang Linggo. Gayunpaman, tuwing Lunes, kung kailan inaasahang dagsa ang mga pasahero sa pagsisimula ng linggo, ide-deploy ang lahat ng sampung (10) operational na tren upang matiyak ang maayos na serbisyo.

Gayunman, dahil sa limitadong bilang ng tren mula Martes hanggang Linggo, maaaring bahagyang humaba ang waiting time at dumami ang mga pasahero sa ilang istasyon.

Upang mapanatili ang maayos na daloy ng mga pasahero, magsasagawa rin ang LRTA ng kaukulang crowd control at passenger assistance measures sa mga istasyon.

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na mapalitan ang TOCP simula nang magsimula ang operasyon ng linya noong 2004.

Ang mga operational na tren ng LRT-2 ay may edad na mahigit 27 taon, kaya kinakailangan ang pagsasailalim sa mga ito sa upgrading at modernization.

Ang mga hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng LRTA na mapahusay ang pagiging maaasahan, episyente, at kaligtasan ng serbisyo para sa mga pasahero ng LRT-2.
