The Pilippine Research Team of the International Longitudinal Study of Aging made a courtesy call to Pasig City Population and Development Office as they are starting the 3rd wave of the study. Pasig City is one of the sub sample areas of the Luzon sample. The Philippine team is headed by Dr. Grace Cruz of UP Population Institute, Dr Cruz is the Philippine acknowledged top expert in elderly research.
Findings of the first two rounds have been considered in the planningvof policies an programs by national agencies such as the CPD & DOH.

Nagbibigay-diin ang selebrasyon ngayong taon sa mga pangarap ng kabataan para sa edukasyon, trabaho, relasyon, mental wellbeing, family life, at aktibong partisipasyon sa komunidad.

Sa Pasig POPDEV, naniniwala kami na Kabataan ang Puso ng Pag-unlad! Kaya sama-sama tayong lumikha ng mga oportunidad at ligtas na espasyo kung saan ang kabataan ay may access sa quality education, health services, social protection, at kalayaang magdesisyon para sa kanilang kinabukasan.

Call for Nominations!

The Pasig City Population and Development Office invites partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and private sector organizations to submit nominations for the 2026 Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantao Award (RMSKPA), to be conferred by the Commission on Population and Development.

If your organization has initiatives that fall under any of the following categories:

- Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) – strategies that enhance access to family planning services and promote informed reproductive choices.
- Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) – initiatives that empower adolescents and address critical sexual and reproductive health concerns.
- Population and Development (POPDEV) Integration – programs that integrate population dynamics into broader development planning, policies, and community initiatives.

We thank everyone who participated in the conference's parallel session on population, development, and environment, and the poster session for their active engagement with Pasig POPDEV's research outputs.

The 2026 Philippine Population Association International Conference was held last March 5-6, 2026 at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

Pasig City Population and Development Office joined development partners in a consultative meeting on Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Bill

On March 2, 2026, the House of Representatives Committee on Youth and Sports Development presided over the consultative meeting and gathered the Philippine Legislators' Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD), Commission on Population and Development (CPD), Council for the Welfare of Children, Save the Children, and youth advocate groups, at the House of Representatives to review key provisions and align positions moving forward. At least 17 versions of the measure have been drafted as lawmakers continue to refine the proposal amid concerns from some legislators who oppose particular elements of the bill.

Stakeholders undertake sustained dialogue to harmonize provisions and build broader support for the bill as the committee prepares for the official hearing scheduled on March 17 with the authors attending the deliberation.

I attended the 1st quarter meeting of NCR Regional Population Officers/ Coordinators of the Commission on Populatio and Development as representative of Pasig Ciity. Learned a lot about improving our own PopDev Office at the same time shared what we are doing.
